Salute To The General -
Chapter 2003
Chapter 2003
Sirens suddenly blared outside the Crystal Hotel.
More than ten cop cars showed up and stopped in front of Crystal Hotel's lobby. A bunch of police officers got out.
The passers-by couldn't help pointing and gossiping about the matter. They wondered what had happened, and why that many police officers had gathered.
Glen got out of one of those cars with a grim expression on.
At the same time, an Audi was parked at the side. Freddy gracefully got out of the car.
Glen was looking grim a moment ago, but that scowl turned into a respectful grin when he saw his brother there. He quickly went over and
greeted, "Freddy!"
Freddy nodded and replied, "Hmm."
Glen couldn't help asking, "What's going on, Freddy? Why are we being called to deal with a regular fight? Wouldn't it be sufficient to just send a few men over?"
Freddy shook his head and answered, "Dennis Turner called and asked for my help. It's likely he got into some trouble with a skilled fighter. I was having my meal in the area, anyway, so I came over to see what's going on. Let's head in."
Glen replied, "Okay."
The two of them led a bunch of police officers and walked straight into the hotel.
They only noticed that the place was packed after they had gotten inside. Aside from the
hotel employees, three other parties were present.
Glen held a high rank in the police department, whereas Tyranno was a rather powerful gangster in the area.
Hence, Glen recognized Tyranno. The former was upset and demanded, "Why are you here, Ty?
Are you involved in this matter?"
Glen was a cop, and Tyranno was a thug.
Hence, Tyranno instinctively lowered his stance when he saw Glen there. The former quickly shook his hands and clarified, "No, not at all. This has nothing to do with me. I was just passing by-Yep, definitely just passing by."
Seeing the Loran brothers there got Dennis to regain his confidence and straighten his back once more. His fearlessness was renewed.
Dennis walked over and shouted at Tyranno, "Like hell you are, you f*cker! I called you over to help me out, but you slapped me on behalf of the outsider instead. How dare you claim to have nothing to do with this?"
Tyranno couldn't refute that. He simply had his head down awkwardly. "Mr. Turner, what's going on here?" asked Freddy while frowning.
Dennis walked politely up to Freddy and Glen before answering with a smile, "You guys are here just in time. This outsider is a fighter, and he abused his skills to bully the weak. Dook at how injured I am. It all because of him. You should apprehend him quickly and punish him severely. I want him imprisoned for the rest of his life!"
Glen frowned slightly.
Freddy scanned Dennis' bloated face and realized that the guy had a few broken teeth. No wonder his voice sounded off.
Freddy commented, "Your injuries really are severe.
"I know, right? complained Dennis
with a broken heart, "Everyone knows that I am a rather influential figure in Brimmopolis. Yet today, have been bullied to this extent You have got to help me settle the
matter, Director Loran."
Freddy looked around and asked calmly, "Where is the guy who injured you?"
Dennis pointed at Nathan and answered, "That's the guy."
Freddy didn't notice Nathan until that very moment. The latter had a small, mysterious grin on his face, and that blew the former's mind and got him to bulge his eyes.
The Chief Military Governor!
Fear donned Freddy's face. His blood pressure rose exponentially, and his mind went blank as if a bomb had just gone off in there.
The shock was too sudden and too big.
It almost broke a blood vessel in his brain and got him to faint on the spot.
A storm was attacking his heart at that moment.
F*ck! What terrible luck I have today.
First, he accidentally offended the Chief Military Governor in Homo Restaurant. I barely got out of that in one piece. Why did I get myself in hot water with the Chief Military Governor again?
Freddy was borderline thinking about suicide at that moment.
More than anything, though, he wanted to strangle Dennis on the spot. That idiot! I don't care if you have a death wish, but why did you have to drag me down with you?
Dennis failed to see the change in
Freddy's expression, so he kept complaining endlessly, "This punk is extremely arrogant. He accused me of being in league with thieves and was disrespectful toward me before injuring me. Director Loran, you have got to help me out and settle the score for me. I won't be able to look others in the eye again if you don't.”
Nathan and Freddy were staring at each other. The former grinned and said, "I was wondering who the director was he was babbling about. Who would've thought that he was talking about you, Deputy Director Loran? I certainly never
imagined us meeting again so soon."
Penny and Kylie were both surprised to hear that.
Penny asked in a whisper, “Hubby, do you know this political leader?"
Nathan smiled mysteriously and replied in a meaningful tone, "Of course I do. We just had a meal together, and Deputy Director Loran treated us to a bottle of exquisite wine. Am I right, Deputy Director Loran?"
