Penny hesitated at his offer.

Clifford was the Cab secretary who wielded immense influence while the Davier family was the most prominent family in Eurasia and was terribly powerful.

She was extremely worried that Nathan couldn't defeat the Davier family and would lose his life.

Cognizant of the situation, Ava advised immediately, "Mrs. Cross, don't take the bait by handing them the shares of Cross Group. The General definitely has a plan. You have to believe in him."

When Valois saw that Penny was in a dilemma, he knew he had a chance. He had long planned to obtain the shares in Cross Group. As to whether they would kill Nathan in the end, it

Penny added, "I agree to your demands."

Penny asserted, "Don't say another word. I have made my decision."

Just as she spoke, Penny looked in Valois' direction. "I can transfer all the shares in Cross Group to the Davier family. But you must guarantee that my husband will be spared."

Overjoyed, Valois readily agreed. "That goes without saying. I am a man of my word and it's worth its weight in gold."

Penny replied, “Very well, where shall we sign the contract?"

Valois answered with a smile, "My company's office is nearby. We will escort both of you there."

Penny snapped, "Alright."

Ava was perturbed by what was happening. When she was about to protest, Penny shot her a glance discreetly, causing her to be stunned. She immediately put two and two together.

This is Penny's way of getting help. Now that we're vastly outnumbered and there's no phone signal available, it is impossible to get help. However, both Penny and Ava had tracking devices embedded in their buttons which they could use to send a distress signal.

As long as they had access to a

phone signal, they would be able to

use their mini-devices to call for help. When Nathan and Colin received their distress signal, they would naturally track them down and rescue them immediately.

Now that Ava was aware of Penny's plan, she heaved a silent sigh of relief but maintained her anxious expression.

She pretended to protest, "Mrs. Cross, don't fall for their ruse. The shares you control are worth trillions. Are you sure you want to give all of it away to the Davier family?"

At the mention of trillions, Valois suddenly became giddy with greed.

His eyes glistened as he was unable to hide his salivating expression.

Continuing with the charade, Penny reprimanded Ava angrily, "Money, money, money, that's all you care about. Do you know how powerful the Davier family is? My husband doesn't stand a chance against them. The only thing I care about is saving his life. Everything else doesn't matter."

Valois quickly added, "You hit the nail on the head. Money is nothing when it comes to family."

Penny snorted, "Stop wasting time. Let's go!"

Valois remarked, "In that case, please get in the car. But, I must request your bodyguard to hand over her weapon." Penny ordered Ava to comply.

She reluctantly handed over her weapons which consisted of a pistol and triangular bay.

Valois warned her not to do anything rash. Or else, Penny might lose her life in the event a fight broke out.

Next, Valois and his men escorted Penny and Ava into his car. There were tens of them in total as they gradually left the parking lot in a convoy.
