Salute To The General -
Chapter 2157
Chapter 2157
In no time, the doors opened to Nathan, Colin, and the Elite Eight. They defied everyone's intimidating glare and walked in with their chests up. Dressed in his full military suit, Nathan trod down the entrance in a poised and assertive fashion as his calm gaze casually met the menacing stares of those present.
He took his time as he walked in as if he was strolling in his garden back at home.
“General Nathan Cross of Eurasia!" the staff at the door announced as Nathan joined the congregation of all tribes and tongues.
In the hall stood leaders of all nations. They
represented people of
different languages and
cultures.
Despite innate differences between these heads of state, they were all steeped in the understanding and knowledge of Eurasia because they took the country as their common enemy.
As one of the key figures advocating enmity against Eurasia, Simone was more well-versed than anyone about the country. He looked at Nathan's men pensively and smirked. "Well, well, look who's here. Please take a seat."
Everyone exchanged glances as belittling smiles broke out on their faces.
All seats were occupied around the table, and it was impossible that anyone would give up their seats for Nathan willingly.
Let's see what you're gonna do, Nathan Cross. You invited this upon yourself!
Nathan took a cursory glance and smiled subtly.
So you want to humiliate me in front of everyone? In your dreams!
His gaze landed on the back seats and those sitting there. These were
representatives from small
elgel
countries They were no match for Eurasia in terms of power and influence. Yet, as loyal allies of Ariarica, they showed up for the multinational military exercise.
These leaders evaded Nathan's piercing glare as he walked past them.
Nathan had fought countless battles and weathered through many life and death situations. He had a lethal air about him, compelling these leaders to elude his glare instead of looking at Nathan in the eyes.
They slowly stood on their feet and moved aside.
"P-Please be seated," they mumbled softly.
This triggered disappointment among other leaders, especially Simone.
They wanted to shame Nathan, but it turned out their own people were shamed when the representatives of these small nations willingly gave up their seats for Nathan.
Damn it! These bunch of spineless
people! I shouldn't have invited themllt's not like they have a strong military presence anyway! They only have a few hundred men! All they know is chickening out when they see Nathan. How embarrassing!
Nakajima was equally displeased. He drilled his patronizing gaze into those leaders and denounced them. “Useless!”
Nathan was just thinking about taking one of the seats and letting their offense slide, but when he heard Nakajima's rebuke and sensed his disregard for him, he changed his mind.
Seems like I should play big this
time. It's meaningless trying to threaten these small nations. I should capture the big boss first, so other nations will know they better back off and stop messing with Eurasia.
With that thought in mind, Nathan walked toward Nakajima.
He had decided to face him off because of his insolent remark, and also because he did not like Jetroina, to begin with.
Sensing Nathan's movement, Nakajima upped his chin and looked at Nathan without wavering.
"Move aside, would you?" Nathan said when he drew close to Nakajima.
