"Come, let's see if you can take a punch from me." Asher sneered, his eyes flashed a dangerous glint. Immediately after, he raised his arm and threw out a punch.

Whoosh!

A gust of wind came along with his fist like a missile shooting through the air, right onto Nathan's face.

Only experts would be able to tell how powerful that man was.

Luckily, everyone at the military exercise had experienced the battlefield way too many times. They were all awestruck when Asher made his move. The power behind this punch is no joke. The Warmongers from Ariarica really are something else entirely. Any one of them would have the power to destroy everything.

All the soldiers from Ariarica and the countries that were allied with Ariarica were ecstatic to see what was unfolding before them.

Meanwhile, Simone was showing a grin on his face and told Nakajima and Reno, "Asher just got an upgrade not long ago. Looks like he got even stronger after that."

Both of them were surprised, their eyes widened with envy as they looked towards Asher from afar.

They knew full well that Asher was strong not only because he had a strong body and a multitude of experience in war. There was another crucial reason behind his capabilities.

Asher was the second generation super-soldier of Ariarica.

In order to create more superb fighters in the army, Ariarica started a secret research project twenty years ago, developing, and experimenting with a way to produce biologically enhanced soldiers.

That project was dubbed, Project Genesis.

Project Genesis' objective was to produce biologically modified, enhanced versions of soldiers.

During the first generation of enhancements, there were ten thousand soldiers who participated in the experiments. Almost all of them died horribly during the modification process.

Only a lucky few were able to successfully survived the modification and lived on. From then on, they were known as the first generation of super- soldiers.

Rumor had it that Simone was one of those super-soldiers of the first generation who survived.

Only a few made it, but those that did were all perfect super-soldiers, each and every one of them had unimaginable fighting capabilities.

Asher was from the second generation.

After the first generation, the modification process was improved and it drastically decreased the fatality rate of the second generation of super- soldiers. Hence, most of the super-soldiers Ariarica currently had were all from this generation.

Having said that, the drastically

lowered fatality rate and higher success rate of the second generation also meant that the probability of producing a perfect super soldier had vastly decreased. Most of the super-soldiers from the second generation were of the normal grade.

Therefore, in terms of individual fighting capabilities, the second generation was significantly inferior compared to the first.

However, there were also exceptions like Asher. Among the super-soldiers from the second generation, Asher was one of the elites. He was neither a perfect super-soldier nor one with was in

the normal grade caliber. Hewith

between which was similar to an advanced grade super-soldier.

Recently, the research facility even gave Asher an upgrade, making his fighting capability similar to that of a super-soldier from the first generation.

Asher was really confident with himself. No ordinary men, no matter how strong they were, would be able to take a punch from him.

He only put half of his strength into that punch, but he was certain that it was enough to kill Nathan.

Nevertheless, something unexpected happened.

In the face of Asher's fist, Nathan shot out a punch of his own.

A thunderous thud rippled through the air as their powerful strikes collided.

Nathan remained perfectly rooted in place after the impact, like an immovable rock.

On the other hand, Asher took several steps backward from the recoil before managing to stabilize himself.

Even then, he could feel immense pain coming from his left arm, a sensation that he had long forgotten.

himself, retracting his

underestimation of Nathan's ability.
