Salute To The General
Chapter 2179

Chapter 2179

"Everyone." Simone's expression was really dark. "You heard what he said. If we can't make him yield today, all one hundred countries involved are going to become international laughing stocks. Don't you hold back, just show him what you have."

Because Nathan was attending the banquet for the closing of the exercise, he still had his suit on him.

So he took off his coat and tossed it at Colin before looking toward Simone and said, "Are you done with the blabbering? Come at me now."

"You insolent fool. I, Mikaze Ittozan from Jetroina will be your first opponent."

Mikaze lowered his body with his hand on the katana at his waist. He darted forward in wooden clogs, speeding towards Nathan. When he got near, he pulled his sword out in a flash.

laido!

Everyone's eyes lit up because Mikaze's form and the slash looked superb.

Even Nakajima was impressed, complimenting him. "Excellent, Mikaze!"

That being said, Mikaze's katana never went back into the sheath like how laido was supposed to.

The sword was stuck in Nathan's hand as he was able to catch it halfway.

He stopped the slash with his bare hand?

Mikaze's eyes widened, shaken as he looked at Nathan.

It was not unheard of for someone to catch a slash with their bare hands. Mikaze himself could do that too.

However, catching an laido slash was not something Mikaze had seen before nor heard about.

He instinctively tried to cut off Nathan's fingers by turning his sword, but Nathan never gave him a chance.

Instead, Nathan had retaliated by applying some force into his fingers.

Clang!

He snapped the sword in half and immediately used the upper half to stab into Mikaze's chest, killing him on the spot.

Nakajima's cheer was heard no more.

Whoosh!

A black figure shifted around like a phantom, dashing towards Nathan at the speed of the wind. It was Matthew the Chief Instructor. Matthew used an army knife and stabbed directly towards Nathan's neck.

Nathan shifted to the side to avoid the stab and proceeded to hurl a punch into Matthew's face.

Bam!

Blood splattered everywhere as Matthew's skull was crushed, his face no longer recognizable as he fell without making a sound.

Whoosh!

More fighters came running towards Nathan, but he was unfazed.

He stepped forward and faced them head on.

Bam! Bam! Bam! The fighters who got near him were sent flying, but there were even more coming his way.

On the sideline, Colin was getting anxious. As the captain of the National Guard, he could not just stand there and watch Nathan getting attacked by all those elites.

Nheless, Jack of the Eighteen Ridersheld him back.

"Colin, this is the general's order. We

cannot assist him. If we did, the other armies would interfere as well. By then, it won't just be the elites attacking the general. There would be whole armies attacking him. You'd put him in even more danger."

Colin gritted his teeth in response. "Are we just going to watch General get ganged up by a bunch of goons?"

"Have you no confidence in him?”

Jack asked. "If he could break

through the joint army of the eighteen nations back then, he could face these insects without any fear. Besides, it seems like the general is doing just fine right now. We can jump in when he can't handle it. Die with him if need be."

Colin took a deep breath and suppressed his anxiety. “Alright.” He nodded. "You and I were both soldiers trained by him. If it weren't for him we wouldn't be here today.

So, if he's in trouble, we either live or die together with him."

Behind them, the elite Eight overheard their conversation. They all showed a determined look as they secretly decided to fight for their general with their lives on the line.
