Salute To The General
Chapter 2435

Cedric's expression turned grim as soon as he saw Colin defeat Rainn.

But before he could say anything, one of the fighters from the Zartman family stepped forward and called out to Colin, "Don't try to act all tough now! I'll show you your place!" Then, he charged toward the latter, only to be sent flying just after unleashing five moves.

Immediately after that, the other fighters of the Zartman family came forward to challenge Colin one by one. Yet, the unusually-resilient Colin took down eighteen men in one swoop, causing Cedric, the Zartman family Patriarch, to boil with rage. The remaining fighters initially wanted to continue going after Colin.

But suddenly, Cedric destroyed the wooden coffee table next to him into pieces with one swing of his arm.

"You pieces of trash! You can't even beat Nathan Cross' subordinate!" he roared. "This is what happens when you don't take your training seriously! Step aside, all of you! I'll deal with this myself." Everyone lowered their heads and made way for Cedric, who was well- known and feared for his short temper.

The man gazed at Colin sharply while striding toward him. With every step he took, deep footprints appeared on the hard concrete floor.

Nathan frowned slightly as he saw that.

Ever since he sparred with Claudius, he knew that talents still existed among the Reclusive Family.

The man standing right before him may not be as powerful as Claudius was, but he was still a fairly capable fighter.

Colin may be the Ultimate King of Warrior, but there was no way he could go up against Cedric after having drained his energy dealing with eighteen of the Zartman family's fighters.

"I believe you understand the concept of having a fair fight," Nathan remarked coolly. "You're not actually going after my subordinate, are you?"

Cedric also understood that winning a battle against Colin at this point wasn't a victory he could be proud of. "Very well," he replied. "I won't go after your subordinate. I'll fight you instead. Do you have the courage for that, Nathan Cross?" Nathan smiled. "Why wouldn't I?"

He then motioned for Colin to retreat before stepping forward himself.

"Let's begin."

Cedric scoffed. "I shan't hold back, then."

Then, he began to move as swiftly as the wind.

The audience watched him vanish for a split second and suddenly reappear in front of Nathan, his right hand with long nails reaching toward the latter's throat like an eagle attempting to catch its prey. Nathan easily dodged him by leaning backward.

Instead of grabbing Nathan's neck, Cedric ended up grabbing onto a standing pillar.

The man's fingernails were as sharp and sturdy as a knife that they pierced into the wooden pillar.

With some force, he ripped out a chunk of the pillar, which was around the width of a bucket.

The crowd couldn't help but gasp at the sight.

Still, Cedric didn't stop there. He continued to attack Nathan non-stop.

Nathan's combat style usually comprised of sheer speed and power-nothing particularly fancy.

Cedric, on the other hand, fought vigorously and craftily.

Like a phantom, he made his attacks from inconceivable angles with both hands, and every move was lethal.

The two had already traded ten blows without anyone realizing it.

Although, Nathan had mostly focused on blocking and dodging the other man rather than throwing any move to attack.

"What kind of so-called hero only dodges his opponents' moves? Fight me head-on if you have the guts to!" Cedric bellowed. "As you wish."

With that, Nathan began to counterattack and no longer tried to evade the man.

He immediately unfolded a powerful move as he charged up to Cedric.

With the strength of his Military Punch at maximum, he dealt several blows toward Cedric. Then, he finished off with a kick, causing the latter to fly backward and crash into a pole before sliding down to the ground. "Lord Cedric!" the Zartman family combat experts yelled in shock.

Svend, Olaf, and Ulric's faces turned somber in an instant.
