Salute To The General
Chapter 2469

Early next morning, Kendall and a few subordinates were getting ready to depart for Channing.

Thomson, too, arrived with a few men at Kendall's villa in two luxury cars.

Upon noticing the men who arrived with Thomson, Kendall knitted her brows and said icily, "Why did you bring these men here? You know we're not going on a road trip, right?"

Thomson responded with a wry smile and said, "They're all my bros, Kendall. Penny's husband beat them up too that day. We want to teach him a lesson to avenge ourselves! Besides, I want them to witness how powerful you are!" "If anything goes south, at least we'll also have more people to support us!" he added.

Thomson's friends greeted Kendall with respect, "Good morning, Ms.

Guller."

Well, I can't be rude to our guests, can I? Besides, it's an excellent opportunity for these boys to witness how an influential figure talks business with others.

Kendall was an egoistic woman who liked to show off and boast of her success. That was why she chose to become a journalist and a television host.

The group then departed in a few cars, heading in Channing's direction.

They reached the city two hours later and arrived at Cross Corporation.

Kendall got out of the car and led the way into the building.

A few crew members followed right behind while carrying cameras and microphones.

Thomson and his friends, too, entered with an arrogant look.

A tall and beautiful woman, who was wearing the Cross Corporation attire, went up and greeted Kendall with a grin when she walked into the building. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Culler. I'm Jenny, Ms. Smith's assistant." "Mr. Cross and Ms. Smith are waiting for you upstairs. Follow me please." Jenny led the way.

Kendall was a little displeased that Penny and Nathan did not come down to welcome her.

Thomson expressed his dismay and lambasted Penny and Nathan, "They knew my sister's gonna be here, yet they refused to come down to welcome us at the lobby?"

Kendall tried to calm Thomson down. "Calm down, Thomson. They're gonna have to apologize and compensate us anyway. They're probably putting up their last fight to defend their dignity." Jenny kept mum and brought them to the private elevator that would bring them straight to the chairman's office.

Kendall and Thomson were stunned the moment they stepped out of the elevator.

"Is this the chairman's office? It's so spacious!"

"Look at the interior design and decoration! What a luxurious office!"

"I want to design my office like this when I own a company in the future!"

Soon, Jenny brought them to a conference room.

Nathan and Penny sat in the middle of the conference room, flanked by Kylie, Colin, and Ava.

Thomson's smile vanished the moment he saw Nathan and Colin. After entering the conference room, Thomson gave Nathan a murderous stare.

Nathan flashed a baffling smile and said, "Look who's here."

Just when Thomson was about to lose his temper, Kendall raised her hand to ask him to step back.

She pulled out a chair, sat opposite Nathan and Penny, and said nonchalantly, "I thought I'd made it clear in yesterday's call. I told you I'd be here, and I'll make you apologize and compensate us."

Thomson stood behind Kendall and shot daggers at them. "You made me kneel before you the other day, and now it's payback time! Drop your knees and apologize to me right now! If you dare to offend my sister, she can destroy your reputation and cause the share price of Cross Corporation to plunge!"

Upon hearing that, the color drained out of Penny's face.

Nathan, on the other hand, was relatively calm. After studying the siblings for a bit, he sneered, "Wow. So you're saying you're capable of destroying my wife's reputation and causing Cross Corporation's share price to dip? I'm impressed."

Kendall knitted her brows and tried to stay composed. "I could sense the sarcasm in your voice. You don't know when to give in, do you?"

Nathan smirked and replied, "I want to know what you can do to tarnish the reputation of a World Peace Prize winner, that's all. Why don't you tell us more?"

The tension on Kendall's face started to ease. She said icily, "You want to know what I can do? Let's just put it this way-the editors and owners of all the media companies that had reported about you are my friends."

She continued threatening Nathan,

"You should know how powerful my network is in the south region. I can mobilize the media companies to circulate all sorts of scandals about your wife in a snap of a finger, and these scandals could ruin your wife's reputation in three days. Do you want that to happen?" Nathan grinned. "It looks like you have a strong connection with people in the media industry."

Kendall snickered. "Of course. I have close connections with all the media practitioners in the southern region. You better don't mess with me."

Nathan responded with another grin.

"Really? Why don't you turn around and take a close look at these people? Tell me if they're your friends."

Kendall and her colleagues froze for a moment upon hearing that. Thomson and his entourage, too, were dumbfounded.

Kendall gradually turned around and was flabbergasted by what she saw.

An invisible door began to emerge on a wall of the conference room. The door then gradually opened, revealing a hidden chamber.

Inside the chamber, more than twenty people were kneeling on the ground!

These middle-aged men were all professionally dressed. They were either the bosses of big corporations or intellectuals from the upper echelons of society. All of them dropped their knees and dared not utter a word.
