At that moment, Nathan, Colin, and Zyon walked out of the airport terminal at the same time.

Outside, Penny and Kylie's respective families were waiting anxiously for them.

"Papa!" Queenie exclaimed as her sharp eyes spotted Nathan quickly.

With Colin behind him, Nathan hurried forward and took his daughter over from Penny's arms. After giving her a peck on her cheek, he asked with a grin, "Munchkin, did you miss me when I was gone?" Queenie replied with a giggle, "I did, and so did Mama."

Penny blushed the instant she heard it.

Nathan laughed. "Haha, how did Mama miss me?"

Queenie answered volubly, "When Mama was practicing writing with me, she was distracted and ended up writing rows and rows of your name."

At that moment, Penny's blush spread everywhere including her neck.

Shooting Queenie an exasperated glare, she murmured, "If you

continue to spew nonsense, I'll give you a spanking when we get home."

Hugging Nathan's neck, Queenie retorted, "Papa is back. With him around, I'm not afraid at all."

When everyone burst into laughter, Penny could only look on helplessly. Usually, fathers were the ones that were strict and the children would fear them. However, Nathan pampered their daughter so much that it was the other way around in their home. Not only was Queenie not afraid of her dad, but she was also closer to him than Penny.

Amidst everyone's joy, a delighted shout rang out. "Ha, Kylie!"

As Nathan trailed his gaze to the source of the voice, he saw Zyon walking over with a broad smile on his face.

Do we know him?

At that moment, Hank and Prudence responded with delight, "Oh, it's Zyon! We came here to pick you and Nathan up but didn't expect both of you to be on the same flight!"

After greeting Hank and Prudence, Zyon asked with a puzzled expression, "Who's Nathan?"

Hank and his wife explained.

Only then did Zyon look at Nathan with a stunned expression and remark, "So, you're Kylie's cousin-in-law. What a coincidence."

Nathan responded with a slight smile. "A coincidence indeed."

Just as they spoke, both men shook hands.

Nathan's palm was strong and steady from years of weapon use.

As for Zyon's, it was fair and tender, similar to that of a girl, which intensified Nathan's curiosity.

Is he really a member of the Peacekeeping Forces'? Or, is it because they don't usually go into battles? Given that he is a captain, he might not need to train every day. Could that explain why his hands are so soft?

In the meantime, Penny greeted Zyon warmly, "Mr. Quimby, I heard that you defend the peace as a member of the Peacekeeping Forces. My husband is also in the military. What a coincidence this is!"

Zyon couldn't resist being mesmerized the moment he saw Penny.

When he instantly recalled that Penny was already married and that his target was Kylie, he quickly gathered himself and replied, "I see. Where is he serving?"

Nathan answered plainly, "I used to be with the North Army."

Used to? What about now? Has he retired?

Initially, Zyon was worried that Nathan was a member of the Channing military. Relieved to hear otherwise, he commented smugly, "Hehe, although I think the Eurasian army is one of the weakest out there and that they recently disrupted world peace by fighting a war against Xyperia and Volk, I still think you guys have done a good job in terms of protocol. After all, I have a good impression of the local military district after they sent two fighter jets to welcome me."

Nathan furrowed his brows at Zyon's impudent words.

What does he mean by Eurasia's army being the weakest? Why is he accusing Eurasia of threatening world peace?

Zyon's had utterly ridiculed Eurasia with his words due to the fact that he had spent a long time overseas.

Hence, he had subconsciously grown to look down upon Eurasians just like any other foreigner.

Furthermore, the main reason he said those words was to show off how great he was to have the honor of being escorted by the military's fighter jets.

Unfortunately, he had no idea that his seemingly innocent words had infuriated Nathan.

Given how sharp Kylie was, she was the first to notice Nathan's anger.

Hence, she quickly stepped forward to defuse the situation. "Haha, since everyone is in the military, all of you protect the peace. It's just that you're with the Peacekeeping Forces while my cousin-in-law is with the Eurasian army. Nevertheless, I'm sure both of you are heroes just the same. Anyway, instead of standing here, let's head back first."

Upon everyone's agreement, they got into their cars and prepared to look for a place to have a meal.

Meanwhile, as Nathan and Colin walked behind the group, he instructed Colin softly, "I think there's something wrong with that guy. He doesn't really look like a soldier with the Peacekeeping Forces and doesn't seem honest at all. Go and conduct a background check on him."

"Yes, Sir!"
