Salute To The General
Chapter 2573

Nathan brought Sofie home and introduced her to his family.

When Penny and the others learned that Sofie was a princess of Remdik coming to Eurasia to study, their eyes widened in surprise.

At the same time, Sofie was eyeing Penny with interest.

Penny was slender, elegant, and had delicate features.

Although Sofie was from a foreign country that had different beauty standards as compared to Eurasia, she thought that Penny was quite the beauty. As she looked back and forth at Nathan and Penny, she recalled a phrase in English that she learned before. They're a match made in heaven!

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Cross. I hope you don't mind me showing up here so suddenly," she greeted politely. Penny smiled as she replied, "Not at all, Princess Sofie. It's a pleasure and honor to have you as our guest." "We're going to have our meal soon. Please join us if you don't mind, Princess Sofie," Benson invited. "Sounds good to me! It just so happens that I'm hungry and some food will be nice," Sofie replied courteously.

After telling Sofie to make herself at home, Penny asked her mother to prepare two more sets of cutlery for Sofie and Maya.

Nathan joined them at the table as well.

"Sofie is here to have a full experience of student life in Eurasia and hence she has concealed her identity as the princess of Remdik. It will be better if we only address her by her name from now," Nathan explained to Penny and the others.

Sofie smiled. "That's right. So please, just call me Sofie."

Penny and the others nodded in agreement.

Nathan continued, "Mr. Gammon and I go a long way back. Since he called me personally to ask for my help in taking care of his daughter, I've decided to invite Sofie to stay over during the weekends. Any objections?" "We have many guest rooms available. It'll be nice to have Ms. Sofie around during the weekends. The more, the merrier! Besides, if she stays over, Queenie can learn how to speak Remdik!" Penny replied. Everyone laughed upon hearing that.

A warm, fuzzy feeling bubbled up within Sofie because she felt welcomed by Nathan and his family.

However, she could sense that someone was looking at her with a hint of hostility.

It was Nathan's cousin-in-law, Kylie.

When Sofie detected the unfriendly gaze again, she raised her head and looked right into Kylie's eyes, only for the latter to turn away from her.

Sofie was perplexed because this was the first time she met Kylie. There was no way that she would have offended the woman because they didn't know each other in the past. So why is she looking at me like that? After observing for a while, Sofie soon realized what was going on.

During the meal, Kylie would steal glances at Nathan. Although it wasn't obvious, Sofie noticed that something was different with the way Kylie was looking at him. It was as if a teenage girl was looking at her hero admiringly. The corners of Sofie's lips curled up.

I see. Mr. Cross' cousin-in-law has a crush on him'. A woman's sixth sense is always accurate. I'm sure I'm right about this.

Just as how Sofie realized Kylie had a crush on Nathan, Kylie realized Sofie, too, had a crush on Nathan.

From the moment Sofie entered the house, Kylie could tell that the woman fancied Nathan from the way she looked at him.

A princess? Hmph! To me, she's more like a desperate flirt. Kylie figured that Sofie must have been entranced by Nathan when he visited Remdik previously. I can't believe she's using studies as an excuse to chase after Nathan in Eurasia'. What a despicable woman! Meanwhile, oblivious to what was going on with Sofie and Kylie, Nathan and Penny finished their meal happily.
