Salute To The General -
Chapter 2594
Before long, the factory was filled with the screams of the workers.
Blackgoat grinned cruelly. "This one billion mission is way too easy."
Suddenly, the Jeep driver stepped on the emergency brakes, bringing the vehicle to a stop.
The rest of the armored Jeeps followed suit and came to a stop.
The sudden stop almost caused Blackgoat to fall off the vehicle.
The near-miss gave him a scare, and his anger sprung to life. Sweeping a glance at all the halted vehicles, he barked, "Why did everyone stop?"
"Boss, we have a situation up ahead."
Blackgoat was stunned. "What situation?"
He leaped off the vehicle and strode toward the front of the convoy.
A burly man soon came into his view.
More precisely, it was a burly soldier wearing a uniform with the colors of Eurasia.
Blackgoat frowned at the sight, displeased at the interruption.
Following Blackgoat's action, a few hundred armed mercenaries consecutively jumped off from the armored Jeeps.
Blackgoat had always been active throughout the entire globe, lending his services to anyone who was willing to pay a pretty penny. As a result, he had learned multiple languages to negotiate business himself.
With fluent English, he snapped at the mysterious Eurasian soldier blocking his path. "Who are you?"
The Eurasian soldier that stood before him was none other than Colin.
Nathan had already gotten news that Ariarica would send a troop to raid the factory in Valmora that Cross Group had invested in. As such, he had sent Colin to ensure the factory's safety.
Colin was standing right in the middle of the road with a military stance. His feet were shoulder-width apart, and his hands were crossed behind his back.
His burly figure and military stance made him look very domineering.
Colin looked at the members of the Black Goat Mercenaries standing in front of him indifferently. "I'm Colin Dunne, a Eurasian soldier. Eurasia has invested much to construct this factory, so this place is inviolable. I'll consider letting you terrorists off lightly if you surrender immediately."
Surrender? Let us off lightly?
Blackgoat exchanged a glance with his subordinates before they burst into fits of howling laughter.
He then taunted, "Eurasian soldier? Eurasian factory? And what do you mean by inviolable? Look at the fully armed troop standing behind me.
One bullet from each of them is more than enough to kill you ten times over. Yet you want us to surrender? Hah! You and what army?"
Colin looked at them with a dispassionate gaze. "I see you've decided to go head to head with me then. If so, there's no need for any further negotiation. I shall spare you no mercy."
Blackgoat laughed. "Come on then! Show me how you're going to handle us!"
Colin scoffed and raised his right arm, balling his fingers into a fist like a command to attack.
A sense of uneasiness filled Blackgoat after seeing Colin's gesture. He was about to warn his subordinates when the Elite Eight, who were hiding nearby, fired their bazookas at the unsuspecting group. Swoosh!
Eight bazooka missiles propelled toward the Black Goat Mercenaries' convoy with a screech and a tail of smoke.
Shocked by the sudden turn of events, Blackgoat shouted, "It's an ambush! Take cover!"
Boom!
The eight missiles crashed into the convoy. Thundering blasts exploded one after another, creating shockwaves and eye-blinding flashes.
The blast sent the mercenaries flying. The casualties were heavy.
However, their nightmare had only just begun.
Despite the screen of dust and smoke, the sounds of horses' hooves cut through the silence. As the sound thundered closer, silhouettes of eighteen riders appeared before the Black Goat Mercenaries. Eighteen riders in black armor, each holding a sword, broke through the cloud of smoke and dust, charging toward the battered group like a black storm.
It's the Eighteen Riders of the North!
The leader of the Eighteen Riders, Jack, sat atop Marquis, leading the group.
Marquis let out a neigh. Stretching its jaw wide, it then chomped down on a mercenary's throat, splattering blood everywhere.
Sitting atop Marquis, Jack raised his sword and slashed it across the necks of three mercenaries trying to shrug off the blast's impact.
Meanwhile, Colin watched as the Eighteen Riders of the North annihilate the mercenaries' lives from afar.
He reached for his walkie-talkie and relayed his order to the Elite Eight in hiding. "I want sniper rifles covering for the Eighteen Riders. Aim well at those with their guns pointed at our men. I want the enemy dead before they could pull the trigger." "Yes, General!"
