Salute To The General
Chapter 2702

At Victoria Cathedral that night, a blonde man with blue eyes carried a suitcase and pushed open the heavy doors to the big hall.

It was Fate, who slowly walked in.

Many lighted candles lit up in the large cathedral.

There were about twenty over people sitting sparsely apart on the seats in the hall.

They were all of different races with different nationalities.

Some prayed in the cathedral while others sat indifferently, staring at the statue at the front.

The sound of footsteps made them turn.

They all noticed that it was Fate.

Fate glanced at everyone with a faint smile on his face. "I apologize for running late, and I hope all of you did not wait long."

It turned out that that group of people were the ones handpicked by the Eight-Nation Alliance.

They all snuck into Eurasia via different means, and Victoria Cathedral was their meeting point.

Fate was a man with superpowers, and Max from Ariarica had recruited him to head the assassination operation.

When all of them saw him appear, they quickly stood up to exchange greetings.

Later, Fate asked, "Is everyone here?"

One of them replied, "Mido Swordman from Jetroina and Nine Lights from Xyperia are not here yet."

When Fate heard that people were coming later than him, his face darkened, and he showed displeasure.

At that moment, they all heard someone speak with an accent from Jetroina, "I'm here."

When he finished, a gust of wind passed through the cathedral doors, and a middle-aged man in Jetroina's traditional outfit appeared. He carried a katana and was in wooden sandals as he walked in. He was Mido Swordman from Jetroina.

Fate glared at Mido Swordsman as though lasers were shooting from his eyes.

Fate was confident in his will that he could influence others with it. He could make them lose control of their bodies and abide by his wishes.

However, when he exchanged looks with this man from Jetroina, he realized that the man had a very strong will.

Therefore, Fate's powers might not work on the swordsman from Jetroina.

I guess I have met someone who is on par with my powers.

At that moment, another cold voice sounded outside, "I was already here

earlier."

When everyone heard that voice, they started to scan the room to look for the source of it.

A burly man from Xyperia started walking in.

He was barefooted, in a sleeveless shirt and worn-out pants. It seemed like he was a farmer from Xyperia.

Despite so, he had a sturdy figure.

His eyes lit up, and they burned with self-confidence.

He made everyone shudder with

every step he took.

They could feel his murderous aura as he moved closer to them.

Fate was surprised by him as well.

Regaining his composure, he guessed, "If I'm not wrong, you must be Nine

Lights from Xyperia."

Then, he paused to look at the man who entered shortly before. "You should be Mido Swordman from

Jetroina."

Mido Swordman bowed slightly. "Yes, it's a pleasure to meet you."

On the other hand, Nine Lights seemed indifferent. "I only came here because I heard Eurasia's God of War is a powerful opponent. Therefore, I wanted to end him myself. I don't care who the rest of you are or what's your nationality. Don't get in my way; otherwise, I'll get rid of you for good."

Mido Swordman furrowed his brows.

The other fighters also grew agitated when they heard him.

Meanwhile, Fate chuckled. "You might be strong, but rest assured that all of us are equally powerful. We might come from different nations, but none of us are weaklings.

Tomorrow is Nathan's inauguration ceremony, and I have planned out everything. There is a way to get everyone into the ceremony, and then that will be the time with the best chance to assassinate Nathan."

Fate paused as he scanned the group before him. "However, he is still Eurasia's God of War. There will be plenty of strong fighters like us there, and it will be hard for us to escape alive if we succeed. Therefore, we must never get arrested alive whether we succeed or fail. We can't betray our countries even if we have to die. Does everyone agree with that notion?"

No one showed any sign of disagreement.

Even Nine Lights had no opinions about that.

They only came here with one purpose, to serve their countries by getting rid of Nathan. It would also boost their reputation.

They did not care whether they had to die after they succeeded.

Standing by the side, Mido Swordman caressed his katana. "Other than murdering Nathan, 1 would like to see the strength of Eurasia's army too. It will be exciting to test how many of them I can defeat before my sword breaks."
