Salute To The General -
Chapter 3065
Never did Max expect Nathan to possess such terrifying combat prowess while still nursing injuries.
In fact, he felt that Nathan was not any weaker than during their previous battle at Lady Freedom Harbor.
Could it be that Nathan's recent deadly battles have elevated his strength to another level?
For a moment, shock, anger, and jealousy festered in Max's heart.
Eurasia's God of War is indeed God's chosen one!
Nonetheless, given that Nathan was still carrying injuries and had no bodyguards with him, it was still Max's best chance to take him out.
Moreover, if he did not defeat Nathan, he would not be able to kidnap Hepburn, the Holy Maiden, to complete his mission.
Having regained his fighting spirit, Max responded in a belligerent tone, "Nathan, you defeated me at the foot of Lady Freedom back then, but now, I'm going to return the favor in your country. This is no more than an eye for an eye."
As for Nathan, he was rather shocked to see Max, as he simply could not believe that the latter was brazen enough to sneak into Eurasia, nor could he fathom why the latter was after the Holy Maiden.
Nathan gave Max an icy stare. "If I can defeat you once, I have no problems doing it a second time. Max, Eurasia is known as the land where even Gods are forbidden to tread upon. Consequently, no mercenary or assassin ever dared to step foot here. And yet, here you are. Do you take lightly the saying that death awaits all enemies of Eurasia?"
Max was well aware of the risk he was taking. He knew that the longer he took, the greater the unpredictability of the situation, which would not be in his favor.
Thus, without another word, he threw himself at Nathan and launched a frenzied barrage of attacks once again.
In spite of that, Nathan remained calm and took every single strike in his stride.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As both of them exchanged punches and kicks, thunderous explosions rang out repeatedly.
Meanwhile, many of the residents who lived in the surrounding area had turned on their lights.
In fact, one could see the silhouettes moving behind the windows. Bleary-eyed from sleepiness, many were puzzled as to what caused the commotion.
However, as Max's subordinates were guarding the streets, no one was able to enter the battleground. As such, the fight between Nathan and Max continued undisturbed. Meanwhile, Colin was anxiously pacing up and down in the hotel room.
If Nathan had not ordered him to protect Hepburn and the fact that he was worried about her safety in the shower, he would have rushed downstairs to support Nathan in his battle.
As for Hepburn, she was well aware of Nathan fighting despite being in the bathroom.
In fact, she had a hunch that the person embroiled in a battle with Nathan was none other than the mysterious vampire who killed the two bishops.
That thought filled her with a mix of fear and anxiety.
After showering quickly and changing into a set of clean clothes, she emerged from the bathroom with her hair still dripping wet. "Mr. Cross seems to be fighting someone. We'd better go to him," she said to the anxious Colin. Colin answered at once, "All right!"
Soon, the two of them exited the hotel and were instantly greeted by the sight of Nathan engaged in a fierce battle with a burly man on the empty street.
When Colin recognized the enemy with his sharp eyes, he exclaimed, "Max!"
Nevertheless, Hepburn had no idea who he was talking about, as it was a common name, after all.
By the time she saw that the person fighting with Nathan was Max, the Five-star General of Ariarica, shock clouded her face. "I can't believe it's him! Why does he want to kill me? Why did he massacre everyone at Caliburn Church?" However, there was one thing Hepburn kept to herself it was unfathomable to her as well. Why is Max exuding the aura of a vampire?
In that instant, countless speculations and possible scenarios flooded her mind, eliciting a look of shock and disbelief from her.
