Salute To The General -
Chapter 3232 Infiltrating The Patrol Team
Nathan glanced at Peder, then uttered coldly, "Let's move out."
Not only was Peder unafraid of him, but he even wanted to flaunt his skills.
No sooner had Nathan given the command than Peder jumped over the cliff's edge, aiming toward the convoy below like a nighthawk.
He landed lightly on top of one of the military transport trucks without making any noise or alerting the vampire warriors escorting the convoy of his presence. Gently lifting the tarp covering the military truck, he broke into a wide grin.
Terror-stricken humans were huddled in groups of twos and threes inside an iron cage, their heads drooping as they dozed off.
Raising a hand, Peder flashed an okay sign to Nathan and the others to show that he had succeeded.
"The rest of you should hurry down as well. I'll keep watch from here. If anything happens, I'll take care of it," Nathan told Wolfric and the rest.
Without wasting any time, they leaped off the cliff one after another, heading directly for the convoy below.
As elite humans, their capabilities were undeniable, and every one of them executed the plan to a tee. They landed on the tops of many of the trucks in an orderly manner. Then, while the vampires were not paying attention, they climbed in and unlocked the iron cages, then hid inside among the captured humans.
Seeing that everyone had succeeded, Nathan also jumped down, falling through the air as silently as a leaf.
"How graceful," Monica could not help exclaiming softly when she witnessed Nathan's amazing skills.
Peder was next to her, and her praise immediately triggered his displeasure.
Giving a cold snort, he fished out a coin and flicked it suddenly toward the spot Nathan was about to land.
The coin whistling through the air caught the attention of one of the vampires.
The vampire baron's eyes followed the direction of the flying coin in astonishment. When he spotted Nathan, who had just landed on the top of the truck in front, his eyes widened instantly.
Meanwhile, Nathan was feeling both shocked and enraged. This Peder is getting more and more out of hand. How dare he jeopardize our mission like this and put my life, plus those of his comrades, at risk? I'll have to teach him a stern lesson later.
Seething with anger, he lifted a hand and caught the coin flying at him, then sent it whizzing toward the vampire baron who had discovered him.
Ret
The coin sliced through the air, and just as the vampire opened his mouth to give a cry or surprise, it flew straight into his open mouth like a bullet. It shattered his tongue and teeth, then pierced through the back of his head, sending a ush of
red and white liquid spewing forth.
Before he could even scream, his head tilted backward, and he dropped to the ground.
Nathan turned and shot Peder a withering glare before sneaking into the back of the vehicle.
Although the vampire baron did not shout or let out a cry of pain, the other vampires were alarmed by the sound of him tumbling from his seat and the scent of fresh blood, and the convoy quickly came to a halt.
All the vampire warriors jumped out of the trucks as though ready to confront a formidable enemy.
Meanwhile, Adolphus, the viscount vampire, got out of a vintage sedan. He had on a black coat, and his expression was grim.
"What happened?" he demanded, his face as black as thunder.
One of his subordinates answered truthfully, "We were ambushed, resulting in the death of a baron."
Stunned, Adolphus hurried over to the body of the dead vampire baron and checked the corpse for the cause of death. His expression
darkened even further, and there net
was even a trace of terror in his eyes. He died instantaneously. Whoever did this has to be incredibly powerful.
He stood up and scanned the surroundings but did not notice anything amiss.
His vampire subordinates also looked around without replaceing anything strange.
Could a random human elite have attacked a vampire, then
disappeared without a trace? That's probably it. After silently drawing that conclusion, Adolphus looked around again before commanding in a low voice, "Get back into your vehicles and let's get out of here now."
"Understood!" the vampire warriors responded in unison.
