Salute To The General -
Chapter 3354 Dilemma
Nathan's gaze turned icy. "You said it yourselves. Now, as the new king of the vampires, I command you all to—"
Before he could finish his sentence, Lyanna quickly piped up, "Wait a moment!"
Nathan looked at Lyanna with a sneer. "Didn't you say that you'd be willing to end your lives at my command? Why are you scared now?"
Upon hearing that remark, Andalex felt like he had suffered great humiliation and retorted sharply, "We, the vampires, know not of fear. If Your Majesty truly wishes for my death, I shall die now."
After saying that, he lifted his hand and fiercely slapped himself on the top of his head.
Before the surrounding vampires could react, Andalex's palm had already struck his own crown.
Bang!
His bones shattered and blood splattered.
Andalex had genuinely killed himself and died on the spot.
Nathan's pupils involuntarily dilated after he witnessed that scene, and complex emotions instantly filled his eyes.
The surrounding vampires all wore faces of sorrow. They all looked at Nathan, seemingly expressing to him with the look in their eyes that if he insisted on their deaths, they would follow Andalex's footsteps without hesitation.
A hint of sadness flashed in Lyanna's eyes upon taking in Andalex's determination to prove his loyalty.
She said to Nathan, "Your Majesty, the hierarchy within the vampires is strict, and the distinction between superior and inferior is inviolable. Please do not doubt our sincere submission to you. Moreover, the vampires are currently besieged on all sides. The moment of our race's annihilation may fall upon us at any time. The old king, Herod, is dead. If you, as the new king, want us dead, there truly is no chance for us vampires to survive. If you intend to kill us, then please make it quick."
All the vampire elites present riveted their eyes on Nathan.
For the first time, Nathan found himself in such hesitation, struggling to make a decision.
If those vampires in front of him dared to fight back, he wouldn't hesitate to kill them all. However, they gave up resisting and were even willing to accept his order to let them end their lives.
That had, in turn, put him in a difficult position.
Seeing Nathan hesitate, Max, who
was kneeling on the ground, uttered loudly, "Your Majesty, please remember that you are also a vampire now. If the humans learn of your secret, they won't accept you. I'm the best living proof. Instead of waiting for the humans to harm you in the future, wouldn't it be better for you to lead us, vampires, in search of a way to survive now?"
Nathan replied coldly, "You are not me, and I am not you. You may betray humanity, but I won't. You caused your family's demise, but I don't want to do the same to mine." Max fell silent, unsure whether he could not argue or simply didn't want to.
In the distance, the faint sound of gunfire echoed.
Evidently, the human alliance had seen the Dark Canopy over the vampire-occupied territory completely dissipate. They guessed Nathan had defeated Herod and killed the latter, so they launched a
full scale attack.
The end of the vampires had arrived.
The vampires on the scene wore faces of despair. Lyanna said, "Your Majesty, the humans have begun their full-scale attack. If you intend to annihilate our vampire clan, then go ahead!" Max and the others all said in unison, "Please go ahead!"
Nathan clenched his sword tightly, then immediately loosened his grip.
He took a deep breath and said, "Swear that you will never re-enter human society and never cause bloodshed and chaos again. Then you can leave. Find a remote place there. If
and live a life of solitudehuman
anyone dares to step into human society to do evil again, don't blame me for being unmerciful."
Upon hearing that, Lyanna and the other vampires were overjoyed.
They even tried to persuade Nathan to become their king, to lead them in their survival, but judging from his frosty countenance; they knew he wouldn't agree.
However, they were not in a hurry, believing that one day, Nathan would eventually accept his identity as a vampire. He would truly ascend to the throne of the king of vampires, leading them to replace a new path. They all knelt before Nathan, saying, "Your wish is my command, Your Majesty."
With that, the vampires on the scene quickly dispersed. Following Nathan's orders, they began to flee, evading the pursuit of the alliance, seeking refuge in remote areas where few people tread.
