Salute To The General
Chapter 3362 Beauty Trap Failed

Suddenly, a fleet of luxury sedans arrived ahead of the three, accompanied by a convoy of military vehicles.

The convoy of luxurious cars came to a halt in front of Nathan.

The next moment, Nathan's gaze fell upon a stunning woman stepping out of the car. She was dressed in an exquisite court gown, and behind her stood a formidable group of Wallera soldiers. The stunning lady, adorned in the palace dress, was none other than the reigning Queen of Wallera, Dido.

It was undeniable that clothes have a significant impact on one's appearance. Dido, who was once known as the Shadow Widow, exuded maturity and enchantment with her choice of attire back then.

However, now that she had reclaimed her rightful position, wearing the dignified court gown, Dido had shed some of the flirtatiousness she once possessed and instead radiated a sense of solemnity.

However, what added to Nathan's astonishment even more was the presence of many soldiers from Wallera standing behind Dido, who were actually from Eurasia. Among them were retired North soldiers, his former subordinates.

Dido approached Nathan and called out to him with enthusiasm, "Mr. Cross!"

The soldiers behind her also saluted in unison towards Nathan, saying, "Greetings, Mr. Cross!"

Nathan smiled and greeted, "Hello, Queen Dido, hello everyone."

Dido laughed and expressed, "I was already in bed when I received news of your sudden arrival. I couldn't contain my excitement. I hurriedly got ready and came out to meet you. I didn't even stop to put on some makeup. Please forgive me if I appear a bit disheveled, Mr. Cross."

Upon hearing this, Nathan instinctively observed Dido carefully.

He noticed that Dido appeared composed and well-groomed, not showing any signs of dishevelment or lack of makeup.

She was clearly dressed meticulously, emanating an elegant aura that only heightened her charm. She was a beauty who was beyond compare.

Nathan chuckled lightly and said, "You're joking, Your Majesty!"

With a warm smile, Dido graciously extended an invitation for Nathan to join her in the car. "Mr. Cross, let's proceed to the palace. We can have a discussion there."

Unable to resist Dido's infectious enthusiasm, Nathan willingly stepped into her vehicle.

Upon observing the scene, Colin and Thomas, along with others, displayed varying expressions on their faces.

In a low voice, Thomas whispered to Colin, "Colin, Queen Dido is usually aloof toward men. Why is she so enthusiastic when she sees Mr. Cross? The way she looks at him is clearly different." Colin asked, "Don't you see it? She's clearly interested in Mr. Cross!"

Upon hearing this, Thomas' eyes widened, and he fell silent, refraining from further discussion on the matter.

On the road, as Nathan engaged in conversation with Dido, he seized the opportunity to suggest that Thomas be appointed as the Minister of Defense.

Dido readily agreed, "Certainly. Mr. Cross, you have a discerning eye for talent. Since you have recommended him, the position of Minister of Defense is rightfully his."

Upon arriving at the palace, Dido dismissed her subordinates, and she and Nathan had a private conversation in the Oval Office.

The two engaged in a thorough discussion about the current state of affairs in Wallera, as well as the plans for future development. Before they knew it, the night had grown even more late.

As Dido engaged in conversation with Nathan, she constantly threw him subtle, flirtatious glances. However, Nathan appeared to be oblivious to her advances. Finally, Nathan glanced at the clock and rose from his seat. He executed himself, "It's quite late, Your Majesty. I won't take up any more of your time. Rest well." Having said that, he was ready to leave.

Dido, feeling anxious, instinctively reached out and held onto Nathan's sleeve. Her cheeks turned rosy as she softly proposed, "Mr. Cross, would you consider staying in the palace tonight for some rest?"

Even Nathan, accustomed to various

situations and rarely caught off

guard, couldn't help but show a slight change in expression. "Dido can't do that. You are now the queen no longer the Shadow-Widow of Nightfire Underground City. You can't joke around like this anymore."

Dido blushed deeply, her virginity evident in her shy demeanor when she spoke those words.

She never expected that she, a stunningly beautiful woman, would offer herself to Nathan, only to be rejected by him.

For a moment, she felt a mix of embarrassment and disappointment. She bit her lip and quickly said, "I understand. I was just joking."

Nathan replied firmly, "Such jokes are not appropriate, Your Majesty. It's best for you to get some rest. Goodbye."

Nathan then left.

Dido took a seat on the chair, visibly frustrated.

Her personal attendant, Mariana, entered the room and approached her with a soft voice. "Your Majesty, it appears that the seductive tactics didn't have the desired effect. Mr. Cross seems to have a strong will. Your beauty alone isn't enough to sway his emotions. It seems that resorting to drugging him?is the only option left for us."

Dido whispered angrily, "Quiet! It was your terrible idea to seduce Mr. Cross. You convinced me that only by getting intimately involved with him could I win his unwavering support and secure my position as queen. Now I've made a foot of myself in front of him."
