Salute To The General
Chapter 3395 You May Leave

In the pitch-black back alley, Rat had long since passed out as his neck was gripped by Sevan.

Sevan's eyes had turned completely red. His two sharp vampire fangs were visible, making him look particularly terrifying.

It was fortunate that Rat was already unconscious. Otherwise, the sight of Sevan's imposing presence could have scared him to death. However, he wasn't doing much better at that moment.

Sevan was clearly intoxicated by the scent of fresh blood. Driven by extreme hunger, he was about to bare his fangs and bite into Rat's neck.

Just at that moment, a sharp sound came from behind him.

A figure appeared behind Sevan.

Sevan's movements froze in an instant.

He didn't turn around, but he knew that Nathan had arrived.

Nathan caught up with Sevan. While looking at Sevan's out-of-control demeanor, he couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache. He's in this current state because of me. Earlier, I asked him if he should consider abandoning his treatment because it's painful, lasts for a long time, and may not yield any results. Even if Sevan stops receiving treatment, he'll still survive quite well. At most, he'll replace a place where no one knows him and live a low-profile life. No matter how I look at it, that choice is better than being tormented like a lab rat at the research base every day.

Seeing Sevan in that state further solidified Nathan's idea.

Originally, Sevan had been blinded by his desire for fresh blood, ready to drain every last drop from the punk in front of him.

But when Nathan arrived, he regained much of his sanity. Somehow, he just couldn't bring himself to speak.

Nathan spoke slowly. "If you're in pain, if you want to kill him, then do it. After all, scum like him is not worth pitying even in death." Thud!

With the same indifference as one would discard a dead dog, Sevan tossed Rat onto the ground.

The crimson in his eyes had completely faded, and his two sharp fangs had slowly retracted out of sight.

He shook his head. "Though his death is no loss, I refuse to become a slave to my desire. I believe I can

still hold on. I don't want to drinkné

blood of I do, I'll render all of

Professor Ladell's previous efforts on me pointless."

Nathan said, "I've thought it through. Since the treatment has been lengthy and ineffective, it might not е be a bad idea to consider giving it up. I will arrange for you to go to Adrune and meet with the reclusive vampires. This way, you'll have your own circle, which will make your survival a bit easier."

Sevan looked up at Nathan in disbelief. "Master, are you serious?"

Nathan sighed. “Seeing you in pain hurts me more than it hurts you. If you're willing to go to Adrune, I'll take care of the arrangement immediately."

Sevan was silent for a long time.

He felt lost, too. He disliked the feeling of being a lab rat at the research base, constantly under the scrutiny of experts. The endless blood tests and injections were far from his liking. Moreover, he had to endure the intense thirst for fresh blood inherent in being a vampire and the growing urge to kill.

That kind of physical and mental torment was almost driving him to the brink of mental collapse.

Since Master has suggested that I accept my vampire identity, I may as well follow his arrangement. He lifted his head and said slowly, "In that case, I'll head to Adrune!"

Nathan nodded. "All right, I'll arrange

you,

it right away. You don't need to return to the Cross Research Team anymore. I just tell them you ran away. Go to Cloud Palace and look for Waze Mosley. Tell him I senty and he will take you in temporarily. I will arrange for someone to pick you up tomorrow and secretly transport you abroad."

Sevan said, "Understood!"

He sincerely said to Nathan, “Master, please take care of yourself. I won't be able to serve you at your beck and call anymore."

Upon ending his sentence, he turned away dejectedly. His retreating figure appeared particularly desolate.

Nathan stood still, watching Sevan walk away.

Just as Sevan's figure was about to vanish before Nathan's eyes, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed once again in the narrow alley. Colin had just arrived.
