Salute To The General
Chapter 3447 Looming Pressure

While speaking, Helios stomped his foot hard on the ground.

Boom!

The concrete floor cracked open, and the tremor instantly knocked all the soldiers off their feet. "Fire! Take those two down!" Ronan bellowed in the midst of chaos.

A dozen or so soldiers loaded their guns without hesitation, ready to shoot down their enemies.

Yet, before they even had the chance to pull the trigger, Lunar fired the first shot.

The device on her left wrist, similar to a watch, suddenly activated, simultaneously locking onto the soldiers aiming their guns at them. A small red dot appeared on each soldier's forehead. Right after that, she simultaneously fired a dozen red lasers from the device.

Swoosh!

All those soldiers, each with a bloody hole in their forehead, fell to the ground in unison, never to rise again.

Ronan was utterly terrified.

The expressions of the other soldiers at the scene changed dramatically.

With a calm expression and a smile on his face, Helios declared, "Don't do anything rash if you don't want to die. If you're trying to replace out whose weapons are faster, you'll only regret it." Immediately upon hearing that, Ronan and the troops dared not act as they pleased.

These two mysterious individuals were not only incredibly powerful themselves, but the enigmatic laser weapons they wielded were also terrifyingly formidable.

Helios smirked as he saw how frightened everyone at the scene looked.

"Where is our companion whom you have captured?" he asked haughtily. "Bring him out this instant. If you behave and follow my orders, I might just spare your pathetic lives-remember, I said I might." Hearing that, Lunar chuckled.

Ronan's forehead was drenched in

sweat, but he steeled himself. "I don't know who you are, but this companion you're talking about is a high-risk criminal. Without any orders from my superiors, I won't release him even if you kill me. Also, you'll get the punishment you deserve for slaying my fellow comrades."

Helios scoffed. "The more insignificant and powerless a creature is, the more they tend to deceive themselves. Me? Punished? How do you intend to do that? With your words? Besides, do you really think you'll get in my way by not letting my companion go? Just so you know, I'm fully capable of killing every single one of you here, and rescuing him."

Ronan's face turned red from anger. "You wouldn't dare!"

Helios laughed. "Ha! For that remark, I'll kill all your underlings first just to prove it to you!"

Just as he and Lunar were about to go on a rampage, a series of footsteps echoed from afar.

Accompanying those footsteps was a powerful sense of oppression, sweeping over the scene like a tidal wave and enveloping everything.

Feeling the looming pressure, both Helios and Lunar jumped in astonishment before turning in the direction from where the footsteps were coming.

Then, they saw a man dressed in a suit and a pair of black combat boots approaching them. He was tall and upright, with eyes as bright as the stars, and a serious expression on his face. Behind the man, a group of subordinates followed.

Helios and Lunar exchanged glances, communicating their inner surprise through their eyes.

They could tell that it was most likely this man who had captured Sirius.

The frivolous and arrogant demeanor they once had just a moment ago vanished, and for the first time, their expressions turned serious.

Seeing Nathan show up, Ronan

rushed forward with unparalleled anxiety and shielded him. "Mr. Cross! These intruders are incredibly powerful, and they possess a mysterious laser weapon that can

instantly kill a dozen pe

It's

dangerous here. You need to leave

at once," he urged.

Mr. Cross?

Helios had already sensed the vampiric powers within Nathan, and upon hearing Ronan's words, realization dawned on him-the person standing before him was indeed Nathan Cross, the one he was looking for.
