Salute To The General
Chapter 3459 Catching the Blade Barehanded

Seeing as Baccio had made his intentions clear, there was no reason for Nathan to hold back either.

They believed that Nathan would no longer be willing to have a proper conversation with them, so their only option was to force Nathan to reveal his combat form in front of a large crowd. That way, Nathan would have a hard time explaining himself.

Baccio, along with a few of his companions, two War Gods of the Light, and a group of cardinals, were all in their battle stances while glaring daggers at Nathan.

The royal guards were all on high alert while awaiting Nathan's orders.

The atmosphere in the room was tense as a battle was about to break out.

All eyes were focused on Nathan.

Everyone in the room understood that how the situation would unfold depended entirely on Nathan.

To Baccio's surprise, Nathan flashed him an indifferent look and said, "I'm giving you one last chance to surrender without any resistance. I will send you back to the Curia and have Eugene IV deal with you instead. Should you insist on doing this the hard way, however, I will not hold back."

Baccio did not expect Nathan to refuse to compromise even when faced with a group of the Curia's best fighters.

Isn't Nathan afraid of being forced into his vampire form in front of everyone? Why won't he just submit to us?

Given the way things had gotten, Baccio knew that he had no choice but to grit his teeth and press on.

"Since there's no room for negotiation, let us resolve this in the old-fashioned way-with our fists!" he shouted in a deep voice.

He turned toward his men and ordered, "Go! Force him to reveal his true self!"

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

A few elders of the Curia, two War Gods of the Light, and a group of cardinals, all sprang into action and charged at Nathan like a pack of wolves.

"Insolence! Fire at will, men! We will show them no mercy!" Colin roared angrily.

The sound of gunfire erupted, and bullets went flying toward Baccio and the others like a hailstorm.

Baccio and several elders of the Curia were all top-notch fighters, including the two Gods of Light, who stood out for their exceptional strength.

The bullets that flew toward them seemed to encounter resistance while in the air as they got closer to their targets.

Ripples could be seen in the air near those people before the bullets fell to the ground.

As the cardinals were slightly less powerful and did not possess such formidable strength, they had no choice but to try and dodge the incoming hail of bullets. Some of them got lucky and managed to avoid being hit.

Some were not so fortunate and ended up being riddled with the bullets, which punched lots of bloody holes in their bodies.

The two War Gods of the Light, Abel and Reg, one wielding a knife and the other a sword, coordinated their efforts and led the charge toward Nathan.

Realizing that bullets were unable to

halt Abel and Reg's advance, the royal guards collectively shouted the order to protect their president. They then drew their swords and

ve

fearlessly stepped forward to

intercept the two.

Despite them all being seasoned warriors who were fearless in the face of death, their strength still paled in comparison to Abel and Reg. It was a gap that they had failed to bridge. Abel's blade danced wildly like a wicked dragon emerging from the abyss.

Reg's longsword, on the other hand, moved unpredictably and elusively like a snake.

The palace guards, who stepped forward to intercept their attack, were chopped up like fruits one after another. Soon, the ground had been covered in their blood.

Nathan's expression turned gloomy when he saw the gruesome deaths of his subordinates. "How dare you brandish your sword in front of me? You must have a death wish or something!" he shouted angrily while stepping forward and headed

straight toward the two War Gods of the Light.

Abel and Reg were both overjoyed when they saw Nathan taking the initiative to fight them. This was exactly what they had hoped for. Without any hesitation, the two of them charged toward Nathan at the same time.

Whoosh!

Abel's war blade carried with itself a wicked wind as it whipped up a storm and slashed diagonally at Nathan.

Swoosh!

Reg's longsword transformed into a glint of cold light as he rushed at Nathan with the speed of the wind and the force of lightning.

The combined power of the two War Gods of the Light was not to be underestimated.

"Watch out, Mr. Cross!" Colin warned him.

Nathan remained calm and

composed, even when faced with the lethal moves of the two War Gods of the Light. With a move called "Twin Dragons Emerge from the Sea," he held both his hands out simultaneously and stared at the weapons of his two opponents.

The next thing they knew, he had caught their swords with his bare hands.
