Chapter 395 Spent All His Money

Nathan narrowed his eyes. "You told him about my identity?"

Patrick hurriedly replied, "No. Without your permission, who would dare reveal your secret identity?"

"This means that Dip doesn't know about my identity yet. No wonder he keeps making trouble for me,"

said Nathan.

Patrick was stunned. "Dip is still in conflict with you?"

Nathan answered casually, "Dip has his eyes on a vaccine from my wife's company. He had James

Price, the vice-president of Channing's CDER to make sure that the vaccine could not pass inspection.

James Price said that he wants to destroy Cross Group and ensure that our vaccine can never pass

the inspection, so we can never bring it to the market. He even said that it is of no use if we report him

to the mayor and the governor!"

Patrick was outraged. "Does James Price have a death wish!?"

Russell was sweating profusely as well. "I'll get him over here right now!"

Nathan smiled. "It's fine. I've already asked someone to invite him over for a meal. I would like to see

for myself whether he still dares to be cocky in front of you two."

At this moment, Thomas Dunn knocked on the door and came in, saying respectfully, "Master, James

Price is here."

In the large hall outside, James was looking around him.

He asked the waiter standing aside unhappily, "Nathan Cross says he wants to invite me to a meal, but

why isn't he here? Ha, considering such an apathetic attitude of his, he can forget about his vaccine

passing inspection!"

James had thought that Nathan was inviting him for a meal so that the latter could bribe him into

approving Cross Group's inspection.

So, he stared around the place and shouted for Nathan arrogantly.

Then, he saw Nathan walking out from the VIP private room.

Nathan glanced at James and said, "Are you the vice-president of CDER, Mr. Price?"

James put on a pompous expression and replied, "You're Penny Smith's husband, Nathan Cross,

right? You're the one inviting me to a meal here. But is this how you should behave?"

He had just finished speaking when he saw an old man wearing a chef's hat hurrying out of the kitchen

and asked Nathan in a humble manner, "Mr. Cross, the beef Wellington dish is ready. Shall I serve it

now?"

When James saw the old man, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Aren't you the Michelin-starred chef,

Steve Lewis?”

The Michelin-starred chef hummed nonchalantly in response. He was waiting for Nathan's answer as to

whether he could serve the food now.

Nathan smiled and answered, "Mr. Lewis, you may tell the kitchen to serve it now."

"Very well, Mr. Cross!"

Having gotten the instructions from Nathan, the Michelin-starred chef returned to the kitchen.

But he felt that it would be great if he could also reap some benefits from Cross Group at the same

time.

James narrowed his eyes and said, "Nathan, you got a Michelin-starred chef to cook and serve me.

That's quite thoughtful of you!" Updated at Draмаnоvеls.cоm

Nathan laughed and replied, "Then will Mr. Price stop targeting the vaccine from Cross Group and let it

pass inspection?"

James scoffed, "It's just a meal. You must be crazy to think I'll let you off the hook just like that."

Smiling, Nathan answered, "Well, I've invited two other guests to dine with us. I think that you'll at least

show them some respect."
