Retribution
Roisin awoke in a dark cell, artificial sunlight shone through the small window on the cell door. She tried to get to her feet but was pulled backwards by restraints around her hands.
"Where am I?" She asked herself, trying to recall her last memory. "I... was at Rychard's place?" She continued. Roisin decided that it must be Rychard who was behind her imprisonment.
"LET ME OUT OF HERE!" She yelled, but heard no reply. Her eyes turned red as she tugged on her restraints, but they wouldn't budge. She paused to think, but was interrupted by the sound of the door creaking open.
Marin walked in, wearing her white face mask, she closed the door behind her and looked down at Roisin.
"Who are you?" Roisin grunted.
"I am the Prophet, sent by Andre, the Lord of Darkness, to extinguish those who stand for the light" Marin spoke.
"Oh, fantastic. More religious nutjobs" Roisin sighed as she rolled her eyes.
"Excuse me?" Marin asked as she stepped backward.
"You heard me. Andre isn't a Lord of Darkness, Andre is Abyssia, and for some reason really likes me..." Roisin explained. "So if I let her know that you have tied me up in here, she won't be pleased" She said angrily.
"You cannot trick me, Lightbringer. I know who you are, Roisin Luna" Marin frowned. "I have done my research, even if you are, as you claim, Abyssia's friend, I still want retribution" She seethed.
"Retribution? I don't even know who you are..." Roisin shrugged.
"We've never met" Marin smirked.
"Okay then" Roisin rolled her eyes.
"I want retribution for the actions of your brother and your Uncle" Marin said as she knelt down in front of Roisin.
"What are they supposed to have done then?" Roisin asked, getting more frustrated.
"They unleashed Arranthian upon my home city of Avadey. They caused the death of my husband and destroyed my life" Marin said, as she leant closed to Roisin. Roisin headbutted Marin, breaking her nose.
"Let me go" Roisin growled. Marin rolled on the floor as her nose bled.
"Have you no sympathy?" Marin shouted.
"For you? No, why should I? You've kidnapped me, imprisoned me and hold me accountable for others actions" Roisin grunted. "You tell me you mean to do me harm, and try to justify it by feeding me a sob story. Get real" She added.
"You're all the same, only those of Avadey follow the true path" Marin said, as she stumbled to her feet.
"Enough with the gods damned preaching. I. Dont. Care. About your beliefs" Roisin yelled as she tugged at her restraints, they still held.
"You can try to free yourself all you like" Marin shrugged. "Those are 'chains of fate' nothing can break fate" She added.
"I can, and I will" Roisin shrugged.
"As I say, try all you like" Marin shrugged, as she headed out of the cell, slamming the door behind her. Roisin frowned and looked at the ground, she had to get out of here, and fast...
Outside in a busy street, Marin stopped as she felt a sharp pain in her mind. An echo filled voice filled her mind.
"Good, take your revenge, little one, fate is on your side" The booming voice said.
"I will, and I will deliver this world into darkness, so it may be reshaped in to Andre's paradise" Marin nodded. She then walked away, as Lumina watched her from afar. Finally, having uncovered the location that Roisin was seemingly being held in, she retreated to tell the others.
Back inside the cell, Roisin took time to focus her mind, trying to use her powers to break the chains, but they would not budge, despite her best efforts. She shook her head
