Sasha

After the encounter with the strange hot guy, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. The way he touched me and how my body reacted to his. I have never felt that way with Jonah. There is just some unwritten chemistry between me and the mystery guy. I don’t even know his name. If I see him again I will definitely ask.

Today I’m working in the student library. I love to read and replace myself constantly reading instead of working. Currently, I’m reading a book about supernatural creatures. It’s so interesting to think about how life would be if they were real.

As I hide in a window nook in the back I feel someone sit beside me. “Interesting book.” He comments.

I look away from my book and see the mystery guy from yesterday. He looks even more handsome today if possible. He has on a black cotton shirt and I can see his arm muscles bulging. Not trying to get caught staring I look back up at his gray eyes.

The mystery guy smirks at me. I assume he caught me checking him out. I can’t help but blush. “So what brings you to the library? I’m an aid if you need help or a book recommendation.” I ask nervously biting my bottom lip.

“No thanks, I have everything I need here.” He tells me and I feel like there's more to what he is saying.

I place a strand of hair behind my ear. “So I never caught your name.” I tell him waiting for an answer. He frowns but then quickly smiles again. If I wasn’t watching him so close I would have missed it.

“I’m Zane. It’s nice to meet you, Sasha.” He puts his hand out and I place mine in his and tingles shoot up my arm again. “It’s fate you know.” He says and I pull my hand back fast.

“What are you talking about? Fate?”

He places a strand of my hair behind my ear and holds my face gently. “The tingles you feel. That’s something bigger than us telling us we’re made for each other. I feel it too. Every time I touch you or look into your beautiful emerald eyes. You’re everything to me, love.”

I stand up and back away. This can’t be real. Whatever I’m feeling is wrong. I have a boyfriend. I’m the worst girlfriend ever! I let another guy touch me. Now he is professing his love to me like an obsessed stalker.

I throw the book I’m holding at him and he catches it. My eyes go wide and I back away into a bookshelf. “Nice reflexes you have there.” I whisper but somehow he heard me.

“No need to be afraid love. I mean Sasha. But what I’m saying is true. You and I are together. We have been dating for over a year. We live together back in my penthouse. Do you remember any of this Swift?”

I hold myself tightly. I’m so scared. Who is this guy and why does he keep insisting we’re together? And what’s with the weird tingles?

I shake my head. “You’re lying! Just please go away! I don’t know how you found out my name or where I work but please go stalk someone else!” I shout and the guy looks furious.

“I’m not a stalker!” He yells and some fang-like teeth pop up and quickly go away.

“Oh my god, you’re a vampire! Their real!” I scream and try to back more along the bookshelf.

The guy frowns and keeps stepping toward me with his hands held up. “I’m sorry that wasn’t supposed to happen. You know I hate being called a stalker. Please relax let’s talk. I can explain.”

I turn around and start running. It’s almost midnight and the library is empty at this time. That’s why I was reading for the last few minutes of my shift. But now I’m running for my life from a crazed stalker.

I run until I reach the back door and step into the alley. I look around and keep running when I’m tackled to the ground. But it’s not my stalker it’s another guy with red eyes and fangs. He growls at me and I scream.

“Ahh please help!” I scream and the guy darts for my neck when he is ripped off me.

I quickly stand up and see Zane fighting the vampire. Two more come up and now Zane is fighting all three. “Run now!” Zane shouts at me as he rips the heart out of one and he turns to ashes.

“Oh my god!” This can't be real I tell myself then take off running. I don’t make it far because another vampire shows up in front of me.

He goes to punch me and I instinctively duck and punch him in the ribs. I had no idea I could do that. But It feels so right. The vampire growls and lunges for me. I drop down and kick his legs out from under him. He falls to the ground and I start running again.

I’m almost to the end of the alley when I’m tackled again. It’s the same vampire. He growls and lunges for my throat like the first guy. I use all my strength to try and push him away. But he's super strong.

He pushes down on me more and I feel myself losing this game of strength. I look around for any object to hit him with. I see a broken glass bottle and shove it into his chest where his heart is. The vampire screams and turns to ashes on top of me.

“Swift, are you okay? He didn’t bite you did he?” Zane asks and I stand up quickly and wipe the dead vampire dust off me. I glare at Zane.

“I have no idea who you are or why you are obsessed with me. But I’m not who you’re looking for. Vampires are not supposed to be real. Whatever you think is between us isn’t real. I’m not your Sasha or Swift! I’m just me. So just go away and leave me alone, please.”

I don’t wait for Zane to answer I turn around and run back to the sorority house. I have no idea what is going on but I know one thing for sure. Zane is trouble and I need to stay away from him.
