Second Thoughts After Divorce -
Chapter 96
Chapter 96
Ashion’s POV
The hospital room was bathed in a soft, warm light as Rose and I settled in for the night, our newborn son cradled between us. Every fiber of my being was filled with awe and wonder as I gazed down at his tiny face, marveling at the miracle of life that lay in my arms.
“He’s so perfect,” Hose whispered, her voice filled with love and adoration as she gently stroked his cheek with her finger. “I can’t believe he’s finally
here.”
I nodded in agreement, my heart overflowing with love for our little bundle of joy. “I know,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. “He’s more beautiful than I ever could have imagined.
As we gazed down at our son, a sense of peace settled over the room, filling the air with a warmth and tranquility that seemed to envelop us in its embrace. For the first time since our journey began, I felt a profound sense of contentment wash over me, knowing that our family was finally complete.
Hours passed in a blur as we took turns holding Tummy, marveling at every tiny feature and cooing over every little sound he made. It was a moment I wished could last forever, a precious slice of time frozen in eternity.
Eventually, exhaustion began to catch up with us, and we reluctantly agreed to take turns resting while the other watched over Tommy. As Rose drifted off to sleep, I found myself lost in thought, pondering over the perfect name for our son.
“Tommy“,” I murmured, testing out the name on my lips. It felt right, like it belonged to him and him alone. I glanced down at his sleeping form, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. “What do you think, little guy? Do you like the name Tommy?”
As if in response, Tommy let out soft sigh, his tiny hand curling around my finger in a gesture of trust and affection. It was as if he was giving his seal of approval, reassuring me that we had chosen the perfect name for him.
With a sense of certainty settling in my heart, I leaned back in the chair and closed my eyes, feeling a wave of peace wash over me. In that moment, surrounded by the ones I loved most in the world, I knew that everything was going to be alright.
As the night wore on, we drifted in and out of sleep, our dreams filled with visions of the future we would share together as a family. And as the first light of dawn began to filter through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room, I knew that our journey was only just beginning.
But no matter what challenges lay ahead, I was ready to face them head–on, knowing that with Rose and Tommy by my side, there was nothing we couldn’t overcome. And as I gazed down at my sleeping wife and son, a sense of gratitude washed over me, filling me with a profound sense of joy and
contentment.
With a smile on my lips and love in my heart, I leaned down to press a gentle kiss to Tommy’s forehead, whispering a silent promise to always protect and cherish him for the rest of my days.
I remained awake, too scared to sleep and leave my child unattended in the unfamiliar pack, as I stared on at him in awe.
Time passed, before the first light of dawn began to filter through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room, I heard a soft knock on the door.
Glancing over at Rose, who was still asleep, I carefully eased myself out of the chair, being careful not to disturb her. Crossing the room, I opened the door to replace Lydia and Hunt standing there, their faces filled with excitement and anticipation.
“Hey bro, congratulations! Hunt greeted, a wide grin spreading across his face. “How’s Rose doing? Can we come in and see the little guy yet?” He presses, as I laugh at his eagerness – never taking him for a baby sort of guy.
Perhaps now his mindset has changed with a mate by his side…
A surge of warmth filled my chest as I stepped aside, allowing them to enter the room. “She’s doing great,” I replied, a smile tugging at the corners of ray lips. And of course, come on in. Just be quiet, Rose is still sleeping.”
Lydia and Hunt tiptoed into the room, their eyes immediately drawn to the small bundle nestled in the small haby hospital bed beside Rose. Tommy stured slightly at the movement, his tiny features scrunched up in a peaceful expression as he slept.
“Oh, Ashton, hes absolutely precious,” Lydia whispered, her voice filled with awe and wonder as she gazed down at Tommy. “Congratulations, both of
I felt a swell of pride wash over me as I watched Lydia and Hunt marvel down at our healthy son. It meant the world to me to see their joy and excitement for us, knowing that they would be a part of Tommy’s life every step of the way.

“Thanks, Lydia,” I replied, my voice filled with gratitude. “We’re so happy to finally have him here- despite the circumstances.
Hunt stepped forward, his expression one of wonder as he reached out to gently stroke Tommy’s cheek. He’s going to be one lucky kid, having you two as parents,” he said, his voice filled with emotion. “We’re all so excited to watch him grow up.”
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I looked down at Tommy, overwhelmed with love and gratitude for the little miracle sleeping soundly in Rose’s arms. In that moment, surrounded by the ones we loved most, I felt a sense of peace settle over me, knowing that our family was complete.
As Lydia and Hunt continued to admire Tommy, I couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride in my chest. We had faced our fair share of challenges to get to this moment, but it was all worth it to see the joy and love radiating from our friends.
And as I stood there, basking in the warmth of their presence, I knew that no matter what the future held, we would face it together, as a family. And with Tommy in our lives, I knew that our journey was only just beginning.
