Perhaps Jasmine also realized she had exaggerated her injury, so she attempted to cover her forehead, but I gently blocked her hand. Her wound was approximately an inch long and slightly reddish. It appeared to be a red mark etched by nails rather than an open cut.

The key was that I couldn't tell if there was a wound unless I looked at it closely.

No wonder she rushed to call Colin at night. If we had come a little later, the wound might have healed on its own.

Colin could tell Jasmine was causing trouble again. His expression darkened with anger.

Nobody would be happy to get deceived repeatedly with different excuses and the same reason.

"Ms. Jasmine has suffered this time. She was in so much pain during the rehabilitation that she couldn't bear to let us follow her. She never said anything. I felt distressed when I saw that.

"Mr. White, if it weren't for the accident tonight, I wouldn't have troubled you. But it was dangerous, and we had no guys around."

I glanced at Baz, who had lowered his head, and then at Gavin, who was full of muscles. I secretly praised Sophia for her shamelessness in telling lies without blushing or feeling guilty. She had insulted two men by claiming there were no men nearby.

"You're welcome. Ms. Jasmine was injured because of me. I should take care of her. I just spoke with the person in charge of the hospital. Under normal circumstances, the room door is locked. But she managed to enter. The hospital is responsible for poor management.

"I'll bring up this matter tomorrow. We handed Ms. Jasmine over to them. Not to mention the recovery rate, but she even suffered accidental injuries. They must explain it."

Sophia sensed Colin's displeasure in his words and prudently chose to remain silent and give Jasmine the right to respond.

Gavin and Baz pretended to be deaf the whole time as if they couldn't hear anything.

I couldn't help but speculate about their relationship again.

While Colin was speaking, I stared at Jasmine closely, waiting to see her performance.

As I had expected, she looked uneasy. After hearing his words, she became flustered and subconsciously raised her head to look at Gavin.

Gavin coughed awkwardly, leaving her stunned for a moment. She then swiftly controlled her emotions and returned to normal in an instant.

She had an excellent psychological quality and could control her expressions well. However, their signals were too evident. Who would believe them when they claimed there was nothing fishy?

Also, where did Colin hire Sophia from? Did she know what she was here for? If it was only for work, she wouldn't have cooperated with Jasmine or acted.

Their relationship was intriguing.

"Forget it, Colin. It was my fault for being careless. It would be tough for Amy. If she gets scolded because of me, I'll blame myself."

Jasmine stroked the wound on her forehead and glanced at Amelia meaningfully. "It's not a serious injury anyway. I won't pursue it any further."

In my opinion, her glance was a silent threat to Amelia.

What did she threaten Amelia with to help her lie?

Amelia appeared to be in her 20s, yet Jasmine disgustingly addressed her as "Amy".

She had no shame in replaceing an ally and destroying Amelia's future. I was astounded at how disgusting she was.

She pretended to be thinking about Amelia but was actually preparing a trap for the latter.

If Amelia were too foolish and had been grateful for the "kindness", Jasmine would have accomplished her purpose.
