Hannah, who loved good-looking guys, had probably never seen Felix smile before. When she saw it, she was so excited that her face blushed and she staggered backward, hands clutching her chest. I almos wish I could be there to steady her.

Fortunately for her, Felix stepped in and held her from behind when she was about to fall, saving her from embarrassing herself. Hannah reminded me of Lilac when she was 18 years old. She, too, was a meek and innocent girl who was loved by Felix.

Alas, their love didn't stand the test of time. The lovebirds turned into enemies after several years. Their affection had festered into hatred. And presently, Hannah was just as meek, if not more, than Lilac. I wondered if her feelings for Felix would earn her a happy ending.

Speaking of which, I had been quite occupied lately and hadn't visited Lilac after she suffered a miscarriage. I wondered if she had been discharged. I never went to visit her after we sent her to the hospital. In fact, I even completely forgot about her.

Why? Because one, she was my enemy and I wanted to stay away from her. Two, she had hurt me so many times, so I no longer had any ounce of empathy left for her. Three, she didn't want to show her vulnerable side to me, so I'd honor that.

Still, I wondered if she had made a full recovery. How did she cope with such a major medical incident alone? It took everyone a lot of time and effort to nurse Queenie back to health after her abortion. Lilac didn't have any good friends. Would her body recover?

"Can't take your eyes off him now?" Colin leaned in, bringing a waft of pinewood scent into my nostrils. His scent had always been able to make my heart skip a beat. But today, it was different. It was tinged with jealousy.

Everyone was vain to a certain extent, be it men or women. When Colin got jealous because I had spent too much time looking at others, the boost in confidence was unrivaled.

Not wanting to get too close to him or act inappropriately in front of everyone, I whispered in his ear, "He's not as hot as you."

Like a giant puppy who found its favorite toy, Colin's mood brightened up. He glanced at Felix and Winston smugly, seemingly telling them that I was his. Winston was wearing black. When he saw Colin's haughty face, his face became as gloomy as the color of the clothes on him.

Felix let go of Hannah and waved his right hand dismissively at Colin. Disdain and displeasure appeared on his handsome face. Was this his way of telling Colin that he was being childish?

Now that I had taken off my rose-colored lens from my adolescence, Felix merely looked like an above-average man to me. He was withdrawn and aloof, but deep down, he was rotten. He could never hold a candle to Colin.

Choosing to spend my life with Colin was the best decision in my life.

There was no lunch, so everyone had some snacks to fill their tummies. According to the students, there'd be a feast tonight, so they were saving their appetite for it. They asked us to be patient. The feast would take place at 4:00 pm. Before that, everyone was asked to have as much fun as possible in Crystal House.
