Seduced by My Childhood Sweetheart’s Brother -
Chapter 692
What did she want to do by telling such a huge lie?
"Just speak your mind," the male voice sounded slightly impatient.
"You want Luna and I want Colin, so why don't we... work together?"
"Oh?" Xavier chuckled lightly. "That guy's always so stiff and cold, always so serious. How could so many women fall for him? Are they blind?"
Jasmine remained silent.
"I wonder what kind of collaboration you have in mind? Are you planning to drug Colin and sleep with him, or get Luna drunk so I can climb into her bed?"
"Haha, you're indeed intelligent. While this method lacks originality, it's quite effective. If we drug them both, won't it be a win-win situation? We'll both get what we want."
Jasmine was truly cunning. I wanted to rush out and curse her to death, exposing her hypocrisy. She was saying one thing to my face and another behind my back.
Suppressing my anger, I stayed put. I wanted to see what else she had to say, and more importantly, what choice Xavier would make when he was faced with temptation. The outcome would directly affect my attitude toward him, whether he would remain a friend or foe.
"Hmph, I was raised to be an honest and straightforward person. I'll consider myself lucky if I can get what I want, but I won't use such dirty tricks just for it. So, I advise you not to do anything stupid. I won't spare you if you hurt her or Mr. White."
I nodded in agreement. Although he might seem unreliable, he had a good personality. He truly lived up to his status as the professor's son. He was full of integrity.
"Perhaps you should reconsider my words, Mr. King. This could be a win-win situation for both of us."
"Miss, let me warn you. Don't you touch them, and don't bother me with such useless requests again. Otherwise, you won't be able to bear the consequences." "Mr. King, are you afraid?"
"Damn it, do I really need to teach you this? A gentleman who loves wealth should acquire it rightfully. The same goes for women. I like Luna, but I won't resort to such despicable means to get her.
"Mr. White is my senior, and we share the same background. I can compete with him fairly instead of using such disdainful tricks. You'd better leave before I lose my temper. And you'd better pray I don't replace ou who you are. Otherwise, I guarantee you won't walk away from this unscathed."
With that, the conversation ended. Xavier stomped out angrily soon after. I quickly hid behind a bust, watching him pass by before casually walking to the other side.
Sure enough, it was Jasmine.
She was sitting stiffly in the wheelchair. I could see that her knuckles had turned white from gripping the wheelchair handle too tightly.
Xavier's words were quite harsh, and his final warning seemed to hit her hard.
"I told you not to bother me. Go away!" Jasmine spoke harshly. She was not acting like the gentle and elegant lady I remembered.
It turned out that everyone had multiple sides to them, but they would often show the most pleasing one to others.
As for Jasmine, what I saw was her third side.
"Who
they ended you, Jasmine? Are
they looking for trouble?" I sneered, I using the threats her followers made at the birthday party against her.
She turned her head in shock when she heard my voice, her face turning pale. But upon realizing that I was alone, she quickly composed herself as a hint of a disdainful smile appeared on her lips. S
"You heard everything?"
I nodded. "Maybe not everything, but I certainly heard part of it. Oh, right, starting from the collaboration."
Jasmine's face turned pale again. She had been caught by the very person she was planning to harm. She probably felt some type of way.
"Do you think you've won? Don't be happy about it. I won't give in to you."
"Why do you even bother, Jasmine? You know that Colin is as tough as nails yet you still insist on provoking him. It's a huisance to him and harmful to yourself. What's the point of everything?" I sighed helplessly, earnestly trying to advise her.
"There are so many other good men in the world. Why don't you replace someone you like who likes you too?"
Knowing that something was impossible but still insisting on it was not called courage. It was stupidity.
"Are you afraid?"
I shook my head.
Colin's heart and mine were firmly tied together, so no one could tear us apart. What was there to be afraid of?
