It was a beautiful house with a garden where we had a clear view of the blue sky as well as the tall trees and green fields around. A gentle breeze through the garden created a beautiful scenery.

The layout of the house consisted of three bedrooms and two living rooms. It had plain wallpaper and warm-colored floors, a simple style that I liked.

The window screens were light blue in color. The wind chimes tinkled softly as the gentle autumn breeze blew. It created a pleasant sound that resonated in my heart.

Everything felt like the most beautiful dream. A warm feeling surged from my heart as I covered my mouth in surprise and tears formed in my eyes.

I had longed for a future where we could have a house of our own, a warm house where we could spend every day together, supporting each other throughout our lives.

Colin had mentioned this some time ago, and I had even imagined how we would decorate our house, where I would hang my paintings, and what background we would choose for the wall behind the TV. But everything was put on hold due to other commitments.

I didn't expect him to remember this matter all along. He even secretly prepared it for me.

He grew up with me and knew all my preferences. Every detail of the decorations and furniture in the house perfectly matched my taste. It was even more perfect than I had imagined.

This was my home, and I really, really liked it.

"Colin..."

He lifted his finger to lightly brush away the tears from the corner of my eyes. "Why are you crying? Don't you like it?"

Suddenly, I became dumbfounded.

I didn't know how to answer his question. Should I nod or shake my head? Would nodding mean I didn't like it? What if I shook my head? Would it mean that I liked it? But wasn't nodding an affirmative gesture?

Being a teacher was really tough. There would always be linguistic pitfalls that I fell into.

"Silly." He leaned down and planted a gentle kiss on my forehead. "Look, this largest room connects to the terrace and will be your art studio. You can paint any size of paintings that you want here." The terrace was built like a glass room to ensure sufficient lighting.

Colin hugged me from behind, his chin resting on my head as we stood on the terrace. "Darling, this is your Crystal House. You can decorate it however you like. I've already ordered the customized furniture set we saw together before. It' be delivered soon.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to invite our parents to spend New Year's Day here together and talk about our matters."

Our matters? What matters? It had to be about our marriage.

I grinned shamelessly.

Since he knew my heart only belonged to him, marriage was

inevitable. And somehow, I wel net

even

looking forward to this day S

"You never mentioned it before," I coquettishly protested.

"If I had mentioned it, then it wouldn't have been a surprise, would it? Darling, are you blaming me?"

I shook my head. How could I blame him when everything was so perfect? Luna Lawson was not an unreasonable person.

"When can we move in?"

"As the materials used are all

environmentally friendly, it's better to ventilate it for a while longer for safety. I've hired a professional team to check the air in the house. So, it could take another month before we can move in."

"I want a large water bed, one that can be heated."

"Sure."

"I also want a brand new set of painting supplies."

"Sure."

"I want to turn that room into a walk-in closet."

"Sure."
