Chapter 219 Visiting Christian And Feeling Surprisingly Favored

"Captain Zayn informed me that he's back at the station," Henley replied.

"Alright, I'll go check on him."

He hung up the phone and noticed Christian looking at him. Without delay, he immediately. explained, "That was Ms. Cohen on the phone, sir. She said she'll visit you at the station."

"Hmm." Christian nodded. After a brief pause, he added, "Escort her here."

"But, sir, our station is easy to replace. Are you worried that Ms. Cohen won't be able to locate it?" Henley said, but he quickly changed his tone when he saw Christian's deep, intense gaze. "Alright, I'll pick up Ms. Cohen right away."

Henley went to get another car and then called Nancy, saying, "Ms. Cohen, please stay at the hospital; I'll come to pick you up.”

"Okay."

Since they had just left the hospital not long ago, he quickly arrived to pick her up. She had only just gotten into the car when he received a phone call.

"Captain Zayn has been picked up by his family. Please take Ms. Cohen to Captain Zayn's house," the voice on the other end said.

"Alright, copy that."

After taking care of Nicholas for the past couple of days, Nancy was feeling a bit tired, so she fell asleep shortly after getting into the car. When she opened her eyes again, she looked at the winding mountain road ahead and felt something was off. Although it felt strange, she did not say anything about it.

A few minutes later, she became more certain that something was amiss. "Henley, is this the way to the station? It seems a bit different from what I remember."

Immediately, Henley slapped his forehead in frustration. "Oh, Ms. Cohen, I forgot to inform you when you fell asleep. Captain Zayn has been taken back home by his family. If you want to visit him, you should go to his house."

Home?

She felt a pang in her heart. Visiting someone's home without prior notice seemed improper to her. Just as she was about to speak up, Henley stopped the car. "We've arrived, Ms. Cohen. He got out of the driver's seat, walked around, and personally opened the door for her.

When Nancy stepped out of the car and saw the scene in front of her, she was taken aback and surprised.

The mansion before her was undeniably luxurious, but not in the opulent and ostentatious way that exuded extravagance and wealth. Instead, it had an understated and tasteful air about it. The whole estate was imbued with a serene and elegant style.

Still, visiting someone's home like this made her feel somewhat uneasy. However, Henley had already taken the items she brought and warmly invited her inside, saying, "Ms. Cohen, Captain Zayn is inside. Le me take you in."

"Oh... Alright." She was already at the doorstep at this point, which seemed inappropriate not to go inside and pay a visit.

As soon as she entered the living room, she was left stunned.

Several women were sitting in the room, and when they saw her enter, all their eyes turned toward her. Especially the older woman, elegant and poised, who looked at Nancy with a hint of surprise and delight in her eyes. Her smile was warm and comforting, which added to Nancy's sense of ease. She asked, "Henley, who did you bring with you?"

The woman seemed a bit excited, quickly setting down her teacup, not even noticing a few drops of tea spilling from the cup.

All eyes were now on Nancy, who had flowing, silky hair and appeared gentle and demure. Her large. clear eyes were as pristine as water, making her exceptionally appealing. Her skin was indeed fair, like snow, with a rosy blush, and her appearance was exquisite.

Henley knew exactly what was going on in Bella Turner's mind, so he quickly explained to the madam. "This is Nancy, Captain Zayn's friend who came specifically to visit him after learning that he got injured." "Oh. Bella nodded with a slight disappointment in her eyes. Quickly, she regained her said, "Ms. Nancy, if you don't mind, please have some tea in the living room. I'll have someone fetch composure and Christian for you.

Nancy did not know how to refuse, so she nodded and took a seat on the nearby couch.

"Don't be shy, Ms. Nancy. What kind of tea do you prefer? I'll have it prepared for you," said Bella.

"Chamomile tea will do, Mrs. Zayn."

Bella nodded and immediately turned to the butler, saying, "Please prepare a cup of chamomile tea for Ms. Nancy"

"Thank you for your hospitality, Mrs. Zayn. Sorry to trouble you."

Taking this opportunity, Cynthia quickly rushed upstairs. In her haste, she did not even knock on the door but pushed it open and called out, "Chris-"

As she spoke, she found her brother in the midst of changing his shirt, with the buttons still undone. Immediately, she turned around

Her brother had obsessive-compulsive tendencies and did not allow anyone to see hun changing his clothes. Even if he had already changed and was just buttoning a button, it was not allowed. He had to be completely dressed, neat, and ndy

Cynthia had complained about thus more than once to her mother and sister, who pointed at her head and saui, "Cynthia Zayn you're too narrow-minded. If he wants to keep his body for his future wife, to remain pure for her, why are you jealous?

all amazing body. Besides, I haven't done anything. I just wanted to appreciate it.”

Admire your own husband's physique."

"Well, in the future, I'll replace a man who's even more handsome and has a better body than Chris, hmph

As she was lost in her thoughts, a voice came from behind.

"How can you barge in like this without even knocking? You're lucky it's me. What if it was someone else?" Christian had just fastened the last button on his shirt.

Cynthia turned around, stuck out her tongue, and mischievously said, "I didn't mean to this time. I was just too anxious; I barged in for your sake."

"For my sake?" He quirked a brow. "What's going on?"

"Well, that girl you met at the mountaintop... The one you.... met," she stuttered, probably due to her anxiety.

"You mean Nancy came?" His response was quick.

She immediately nodded and said, "Yes, yes, it's that girl. She's come to our house. Mom left her in the living room to have tea. You haven't seen Mom's expression, Chris; she can hardly wait..." Before she could finish her sentence, Christian had already hurried downstairs.

She observed her brother's eager demeanor and couldn't help but remark, "Hmm, he claims not to like that girl, yet he's in such a rush. He'd rather endure suffering than lose his dignity." She was curious to see if her brother would still maintain a cold and distant attitude when he had a wife in the future.

As Christian descended the stairs, Nancy found Bella already in the living room, keeping her company as they enjoyed a cup of tea. Bella wore a gentle smile, which had not faded since Nancy's arrival. "Nancy, it's lunchtime. Let me know your favorite dishes, and I'll have them prepared for you. Please stay for lunch, Bella kindly offered.

Overwhelmed by the warm hospitality, Nancy couldn't bring herself to decline the kind-hearted lady's invitation.

Just then, Christian approached from behind, took the teacup from Nancy's hand, and gently placed it on the table. He then looked at Bella and said, “Mom, I'm taking her with me. Enjoy your tea." With those words, he directly took Nancy's hand and led her upstairs.
