League 185
Chapter 185
Millie suddenly tried to jump out of the car. The leader’s eyes widened in shock as he witnessedMillie’s audacity to attempt such a reckless act with her back facing the window.
Was she unaware of the immense danger she would face if she were to fall? She could easily havebeen crushed to death by a passing vehicle
He hurried forward to hold her back and shouted, “Are yout of your mind? Isn’t it better to drown inthe sea instead of getting hit by a car?”
Millie almost laughed at his angry curse. He was quite kind and even thought about the mostcomfortable way for her to die.
She took advantage of his distraction and kicked him hard in the stomach. He fell and released her.Hence, she swiftly and flexibly retracted her body from the car window back into the car.
The leader was about to get up when he noticed Millie holding a silver needle close to his neck.Frowning, he stayed frozen in place.
Millie’s silver needle grazed his neck, causing a slight pain. It sent a shiver down his spine. What doyou want?” he asked.
“Ask the driver to stop the van,” Millie replied coldly.
The leader looked at the driver and ordered, “Pull over by the side of the road!”
The driver was cautious, for his leader’s life depended on Millie. The van came to a safe stop, andMillie glanced at the driver, saying, “Get out!”
The driver glanced at the leader, who gave him a slight nod, signaling him to exit the van.
Just as he was about to reach for his phone, Millie threw a silver needle that pricked his hand. Itinstantly drained his strength. He stared at Millie in disbelief, wondering what kind of technique sheused.
Millie grinned and asked, “Would it be faster for you to notify someone or for me to kill you?”
The driver’s clever ruse was exposed. He was shocked and immediately turned to get out of thecar.
The leader observed Millie quietly and couldn’t help but notice how different she was from the otherwomen of prominent families. They were all arrogant and pretentious. However, Millie remainedremarkably composed despite being kidnapped.
The leader was especially intrigued by the effects of Millie’s silver needle, which seemed to makepeople lose consciousness or fall into a coma when it pierced their bodies.
Millie stared at the leader and asked icily, “Who hired you?”
“A woman,” he replied decisively
Miffie narrowed her eyes. “Joanna Lowell?”
He frowned and replied sternly, “I’m sorry, but I can’t reveal that. It goes against my professionalethics”
Millie chuckled “What professional ethics are there for this kind of crime?”
“Is it Joanna Lowell?” she insisted, demanding an answer.
The leader gritted his teeth, refusing to respond as Millie carefully held the silver needle.
Under the dim car light, the needle shimmered for a second. Millie’s gaze shifted from the needle tohis face, then traced down his body.
A frown creased his forehead as he realized Millie’s attention was fixated on the wrong area. Inreflex, he swiftly moved to shield his most private parts.
Millie glanced at him and held back her smile.
The leader glared at her and suspected she was a devil. Causing others to faint or becomeparalyzed was only temporary.
However, if she did something to his private parts, it would have lifelong consequences. Moreover,he wasn’t even married yet or had any children.
No! She couldn’t do this to him!
“I gave you a chance, but you refused to confess! Millie smiled as she moved the needle closer tohim.
He was so terrified that he stammered, “Til tell you! I’ll tell you now!”
He would just tell her. Millie nodded, urging him to speak quickly and stop talking nonsense.
“It’s Joanna Lowell! She asked us to throw you into the sea and drown you. She wanted you to die!”he disclosed the information.
Millie felt her heart freeze. Joanna had not only taken her partner but also wanted to kill her. Howcruel could she be?
Millie couldn’t bear to think about it. It was no surprise that the people closest to her knew herweaknesses the best.
