“I didn’t expose your sister’s qualifications. There is nothing to talk about.” Millie refused to engagewith any of the Lowells.

After some hesitation, she stood in front of his car and replied, “Let’s talk right here.”

Logan considered it and agreed. “Millie, I know you don’t need money, but here’s two milliondollars.”

He offered her the check without warning. She was shell–shocked. What was this for?

“Please be nice to my sister in the future.” He glanced at Millie.

The Lowells had given up on all their principles for Joanna. They were insulting her when theyconsidered) paying her to shut her up.

Besides, why would she admit to something that wasn’t her doing?

Logan was confused by her sudden anger.

She snapped, “First of all, I don’t need the two million dollars. I might reconsider if you LowellGroup, though. Secondly,” she warned him impassively. “Mr. Lowell, please behave. If you do thisto me again, I won’t be nice to you.”
