Chapter 349
“You said it in the car just now.” Harriet was so scared. She didn’t even dare to even open her eyesand glance down from the building.
When she finally braved a look, she immediately shut her eyes again, her lips forming the words.
“Didn’t you say that you won’t force me? How can you lie? Oh, Millie! My heart is weak. Please, don’t do this to me!” She began to talk more gently, clearly seeking peace.
Millie silently observed her, attentively noting every gesture, as if she saw herself in Harriet’sposition just a day ago. Did Harriet know the sensation of awakening to replace oneself bound orsuspended in midair?
Harriet’s life was important, but weren’t other people’s lives equally significant? In her moment offear, did she ever think that Millie had also experienced that fear?
Millie felt no sympathy toward her and saw nothing wrong with her own actions. She just wanted tobe a bad person like Harriet. Instead of feeling conflicted inside, it was better to seek revenge onothers.
“I’m truly terrified, Millie,” Harriet begged.
Millie didn’t respond. She slowly walked over.
Harriet saw Millie approaching, and she started to cry. “Mills…”
She believed that Millie had finally forgiven her and was about to set her free. She even addressedher by her nickname. That was until Millie shot Marvin a certain glance.
Marvin walked over and taped her mouth shut. Harriet gave up right away. It seemed that Millie wasdetermined to make her understand what she had gone through.
Millie smiled subtly, casting a condescending gaze upon Harriet, whose face was flushed with fear,“Mrs. Lowell, I’m not as cruel as you. I just want revenge, not your death.”
She raised her wrist to check the time and calmly stated, “I will have my people take you home at10:00 am tomorrow.”
Harriet’s heart sank when she heard Millie’s words. She wondered if she would truly be left hangingin this dreadful place for a whole ten hours.
“Ugh…” She continued to struggle. The sound of the bell came from the rope behind her, just likewhen Millie was tied up. Nothing had changed. The bell made Harriet panic, and she graduallydared not move.
Millie gently patted her shoulder and smiled. “Have a great evening.”
After saying that, she turned and was about to leave. Suddenly, as if she had rememberedsomething, she said, “I hope that you’ll not bother me again after this.
Millie was expressionless, radiating an air of indifference. Even when she spoke, her voice remainedsteady and devoid of emotion. “Otherwise, I’ll stand by my word. I’ll definitely get revenge.”
With that, she smiled and left.
Harriet watched as she left, her anger simmering at Millie’s determination to get revenge. Marvinblocked her view. As Harriet stared at him, tears streamed down her face.

Marvin sighed and said, “You’re so brave to piss her off. Stay strong, and don’t give in. Ten hourswill pass by in no time.”
He was furious. Harriet’s cruelty knew no bounds as she left Millie hanging here.
He thought Harriet’s actions were truly despicable and insidious. Millie had a right to seek revenge. She wasn’t a person who could be bullied easily.
Harriet deeply regretted her actions, especially since Millie had found out about it so quickly.
Millie was kidnapped in the dark of night, but she has now successfully sought revenge. Harriet wascaught completely off guard.
