Chapter 407
Marvin showed Millie the text, and she was livid. Who the hell was this?
“Boss, who do you think brought the Aspher to Musbane?” Marvin suddenly realized an importantdetail
Wasn’t there only one person from Yerwick City who traveled to Musbane? They exchangedglances, and Millie suddenly exclaimed, ” Winston!”
Marvin snapped his fingers and said, “That’s right! Who else but Winston?”
“But at that time, the Aspher was missing. William didn’t manage to win the auction for it. Couldsomeone else have won the bid? Maybe this person is rushing to sell it because they need quickcash?” Millie asked.
Marvin quickly shook his head. “No way. They said the price wasn’t an issue.”
“Then it must be Winston.” Millie unfastened her seatbelt and decided
to meet him.
She wanted to know what exactly he was up to. If he genuinely wanted to give her the Aspher, whynot just hand it over? Why insist she pick it up in person?
Did Winston want Millie to thank him face–to–face? What a hypocrite! Hadn’t she done enough towin his favor over the years?
Millie stormed into the café, her anger palpable.
When Yvonne saw her, she immediately stood up and greeted respectfully, “Boss.”
“Go back,” Millie said sharply, her frustration evident in her voice.
Yvonne could tell that this person was about to get into trouble. When

Millle was this angry, things were bound to get serious
“Alright!” she said and quickly left
Millie slammed her hand on the table and looked around for Winston
Right then, a server approached and said. “Ms. Caldwell, there’s a gentleman waiting for youupstairs.”
Millie glanced at the staircase and cursed inwardly, “What a jerk! Why is he acting so mysteriousabout an Aspher?”
Millie, seething with anger, ascended the stairs. Following the server’s instructions, she burst intothe private room without a hint of courtesy.
But when she saw who was inside, the insults she had been ready to hurl caught in her throat.
The person in the private room blinked in surprise. They were also somewhat taken aback by howfurious Millie looked. It was as if she was blazing with fury.
“Are you… Ms. Caldwell?” the man asked cautiously.
Millie sized up the man before her. No, he was merely a teenager who seemed to be 18 or 19. Hewas youthful and handsome.
Beside him was a black box–identical to the one she had seen at the
auction abroad.
“Is this the Aspher?” Millie asked straightforwardly.
The young man nodded. “Please have a seat, Ms. Caldwell,” he offered with a smile.
Millie’s mouth hung open, momentarily speechless. What was going on? This wasn’t Winston! Howdid this young man know she needed the Aspher and insist she come in person? Who was he?
She took a seat across from him, scrutinized him, and questioned, “Who
are you?”
“Hello, I’m Paxton Roberts. I’m an herbal researcher. When I saw you needed the Aspher, I decidedto give it to you.”
“How did you know I needed it?” Millie tilted her head.
Paxton smiled and answered, “I saw you at the auction abroad and noticed someone looking for theAspher on the black market. Since very few people are looking for it, I thought I’d check if it wasyou.”
Millie arched an eyebrow. The logic was questionable, yet not entirely implausible.
“Name your price.” She got straight to the point.
Paxton replied, “You decide what it’s worth. After all, you come from a medical family. So, youshould know the value of this herb better than anyone. I won’t put a price on it myself.”
