Rufus wanted to say something, but he could not explain it to Benjamin with others around. In the end, all he could do was sigh and walk away helplessly.

On the other side, Yulissa felt slightly better after seeing Benjamin hit and scold Winnie in front of everyone.

I didn't actually want Xavier to die, but I had no choice. Zyon and Winnie are to blame for everything! Besides, I came here genuinely hoping that the Fairchild family wouldn't give up on Xavier. After all, he might just be alive...

Five minutes later, Josiah was applying an ice pack to Winnie's face in his office.

She was still mad Benjamin as her face was all swollen up from his slap. That jerk...

"Ow! It hurts! Be gentle, Bad Specky!" Winnie exclaimed in pain when the towel came into contact with her reddened cheek.

"Hahaha! Oh, how the tables have turned! Do you remember how I was asking you to go easy on me outside the elevator earlier? You never did," Josiah replied.

Winnie took a deep breath to compose herself. Is he seriously thinking of revenge now?

The next thing Josiah knew, her tears started flowing all of a sudden.

As this was his first time encountering someone who could turn on the waterworks at will, Josiah was caught completely off guard and began to panic.

"All right, all right! I'll be gentle, okay? Jeez... Why do you keep crying? Are you a crybaby or something?"

Even so, Winnie's tears would not stop flowing.

Unbeknownst to him, her crying had nothing to do with her acting skills whatsoever.

She actually had a condition that would cause her veins on her forehead to throb, which would then result in tears rolling down.

Apparently, placing the ice pack on her face had the same effect.

Winnie gave Josiah a smack on the shoulder and yanked the ice pack away from her temple.

Seeing her in such a state, Josiah whipped his phone out and took two pictures of her, much to her dismay.

"What are you doing, Bad Specky?"

Why would he take a picture of me crying with my face all swollen? What the heck is wrong with him?

"Oh, nothing much! I'm just going to send this picture to Handsome, that's all! Ah, crap! My phone died! Wait here while I charge it, okay?"

"Delete them!"

"Why? It's not like you can tell if you look ugly, anyway! By the way, where's your phone? I'll give your granny a call and send you two home. You're both staying at Xavier's condominium in Aqua Moana, right? I should get you two out of here before Hamish takes you back to the Garland residence."

Not wanting to answer his series of questions, Winnie covered her face and headed for the door.

Josiah grabbed her by the arm and asked, "Where are you going?"

Winnie was about to say something when they heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Josiah called out.

Seconds later, Louis entered the office and reported, "Dr. Houghton, Mrs. Fairchild, Hamish is here. Mr. Fairchild wants me to bring her over to him."

Josiah frowned. "No. Hamish doesn't even treat Dumbo like a person! Go tell Mr. Fairchild that I've taken her away."

He then took his white coat off and prepared to get Winnie out of the hospital.

Hmm... Actually, going back to the Garland residence isn't all that bad. My plan for getting revenge on Dad and Yara is now in its most important phase, so staying near them would make things easier for me. With that in mind, Winnie broke free from Josiah's grip when he grabbed her wrist.

"Don't touch me, Bad Specky! You're hurting me! I hate you! I hate all of you! I'm going home with Daddy!"

"What the heck?" Josiah exclaimed in confusion as he placed a hand on her forehead. "Hmm, you don't have a fever. Winnie, your dad and your stepmom are mean to you. Your stepsister even tried to kill you! Why would you go back to that d*mned house?"

"Hmph! Don't badmouth Mommy and Daddy! I hate you, Bad Specky!" Winnie snapped back at Josiah while brushing his hand off.

"I'm protecting you, Dumbo!"

"I don't need your protection, Bad Specky!" While pretending to be a fool, Winnie could do anything she felt like without having to justify her actions.

While Josiah was distracted, she quickly snatched his glasses and stomped on them.

As Josiah suffered from myopia, his vision became all blurry without his glasses.

"What the heck are you doing! Have you lost your mind!" For most people with glasses, they would only take them off when going to sleep, and Josiah was no different.

The first thing he did was bend over to pick his glasses up.

Winnie seized that opportunity to make her escape, prompting Louis to run after her, not caring about Josiah.

About ten minutes later, Winnie had left the hospital in Hamish's car without any issues.

After replaceing out what had happened, Josiah grabbed his keys and ran out of his office.

I don't know what's gotten into me, but I just don't want to see Hamish bully Dumbo! After all, she looks really pitiful when she cries, and Xavier had risked his life trying to replace her! Meanwhile, Xavier sent Winnie a text while resting in the living room of his condominium, but he never received a reply from her.

Jacinta, on the other hand, had received word about Winnie. Grabbing her handbag, she got ready to head out.

"Where are you going at this hour, Mdm. Sumner?" Xavier asked, curious.

Jacinta's eyes were filled with displeasure as she replied, "I'm leaving!"

Realizing something was amiss, Xavier asked, "Why? Did something happen to Winnie? She hasn't replied to my messages. Did she tell you something?"

"That's none of your business. A guy like you will never be worthy of Winnie, so I suggest you give up. Also, she won't be coming back here anymore," Jacinta stated while opening the door. "What do you mean by that, Granny?" Xavier asked with a frown while wheeling himself toward her.

"I'm surprised you have the audacity to ask me that question after what your family has done!"

Not wanting to explain any further, Jacinta stepped outside and slammed the door shut behind her.

Although Xavier did not understand what she meant, he figured something must have happened at the hospital, as he knew that was where Winnie went.

Since Winnie was not answering her phone, he tried calling Josiah, but the latter's phone was dead.

Right as Xavier felt completely lost, he got a call from Louis saying, "Mr. Fairchild, Mrs. Fairchild is gone!"
