Chapter 85
His voice was low and calm, but it made everyone present hold their breath.
It was as if as long as he stood there, everyone’s gaze would automatically gather on him.
The camera was still dutifully filming.
In order not to interfere with the festival recording, Dean walked up to Matthew and blocked the camera for him. He then politely addressed Gale, saying, “Hello, Lawyer Dowson. I am Dean, Mr. Shadwell’s assistant. As the investor for this program. Mr. Shadwell would like to come over and assess the interns‘ conditions and the progress of the shooting.” Gale understood and immediately said, “Of course! Welcome.”
As he spoke, he made a “please” gesture. “Mr. Shadwell, it’s noisy here. Let’s go to the conference room and have a good chat.”
Dean said, “Mr. Shadwell is here to inspect, not to negotiate.”
Gale hastily uttered. “The meeting room is very tranquil, and we can also watch the whole filming of the program, but it won’t be captured by the camera.”
Hearing this, the rest of the people also understood that the investor had come to inspect
Most of the interns were in the law circle, and those with good family backgrounds were naturally familiar with the Shadwell family’s only heir, Matthew; however, there were also many ordinary and middle–class families who relied on education and ability, not necessarily knowing his name.
But looking at Gale’s respectful appearance, even if they did not know Matthew, they could see that this man’s identity was extraordinary.
Coupled with his excessively superior figure and face, it was hard to not pay attention to him-
“Oh my god, this person is so handsome. Is he some powerful rich second generation?”
“He must be very rich anyway!”
“Of course! Don’t you see how Lawyer Dowson treats him?”
Gale was an infinite rights partner at Golden Law Firm, and could be seen as half a boss; he was a renowned figure throughout the entire law office.
A man who could be treated with such an attitude was naturally either rich or expensive!
Listening to the praises beside her, Anya proudly straightened her waist, “Of course! Don’t you know who our Mr. Shadwell
is…”
“Do you know this Mr. Shadwell as well?” asked the girl beside her in a low voice.
“Ah! You saw through it…” Anya covered her mouth in an exaggerated manner.
She smiled at her in embarrassment, “But can you not say it out loud? I don’t want to be too high–profile…”
Wasn’t this high–profile?!
The girl complained in her heart, but on the surface, she was definitely respectful to her. “Mr. Shadwell isn’t your boyfriend, right?
“It’s better not to say that… I don’t want everyone to think that I came in through connections!” Anya covered her mouth shyly.
The voices of the two people were not soft, and the people around them could hear them.
Victoria stood next to them, and her heart was calm.
Touching her chest, she expected an uncomfortable pain, but instead felt only a stuffy needle–like sensation that was quickly suppressed.
She thought that as long as she watched them do PDA a few more times, slowly, her heart would not hurt for Matthew anymore, right?
Under Gale’s arrangements, Matthew entered a large conference room on the side.
“Alright, don’t take the little episode to heart. Let’s continue with the rest procedures.” Remy stood up to maintain order.
“Mr. Shadwell is your boyfriend. He is so powerful. If you lose your necklace, he will definitely be able to help you, right?” The girl next to Anya leaned over.
Anya’s eyes flickered for a moment.

If Matthew were aware that Victoria was a thief with soiled hands and feet, he would certainly no longer be interested in her.
