Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 741 Move to Your Place

Sydney knew what he was talking about. And she was shocked. "You're saying Mrs. Madden still thinks I'm Clarice? That's why she acted that way?"

Julien nodded slightly. "Besides, there is no other reason to explain why Mrs. Madden changed her attitude when she saw you."

Sydney thought about it for a while. "You're right. I can't think of any other explanation for this. Mrs. Madden hated my guts until today, but I bet they know how ridiculous their suspicion is now. The real Clarice is right beside them, after all. They should have known I'm not the real Clarice."

"Brandon has probably gotten over it and knows you're not Clarice, but Mrs. Madden hasn't figured it out. As I said, she still thinks you're Clarice. Women are always more sentimental than men when it comes to matters like this. In particular, she is a mother." Julien looked at her.

He did not tell Sydney that even if Mrs. Madden knew Sydney wasn't her daughter, the thought that Sydney could be Clarice wouldn't be that easy to wipe out of her mind once it had formed.

Every time Mrs. Madden saw Sydney, she would be reminded of that thought. And she would act weirdly around Sydney.

For example, Mrs. Madden would be concerned about Sydney and pay more attention to her.

If this went on, Mrs. Madden would care more about Sydney. And she might even have feelings for Sydney.

Moreover, blood bonds were always mysterious.

When that time came, Mrs. Madden would suspect that Sydney was Clarice again.

Sydney didn't know what he was thinking. She agreed with his analysis. Then she nodded. "You're right. Women are always more sentimental than men are. I can see why Mrs. Madden acts so weird around me."

Julien had mixed feelings about the matter, so he changed the topic. "And what did Denna say to you?"

She pouted. "She told me something even weirder. She asked me if I thought I was Clarice."

Julien's face darkened. "Did she really say that?"

Julien thought, 'What was she doing? Isn't she worried Sydney might suspect something?'

Sydney nodded. "Yeah. She told me all that because she's jealous. And she did it on purpose." "Is that so?" Julien squinted.

Sydney sneered. "She told me that Brandon suspected that I might be Clarice after he watched the press conference, and she asked me that because she was worried I might take her place and trick the Maddens so I could take revenge on them. Something must be wrong with her. How on earth did she come up with such a ridiculous idea?"

She said resignedly as she pointed at the side of her head.

Julien was silent for a while.

He never thought Denna could actually come up with a good explanation for such a blatant lie, and Sydney even bought it.

Thinking of this, Julien looked at her.

Julien thought, 'I don't blame Sydney. She wouldn't think she was the real Clarice, nor would she even have that idea in the first place. She has to believe in Denna. Even if she knows Denna is lying, she won't admit it.'

Julien lowered his head as he said, "Don't take what she said to heart."

"I know. I don't care about stupid stuff like that." She said as she smiled.

Julien grunted, then he asked, "Did Mrs. Madden ask you any other questions?"

He wondered if Mrs. Madden had asked Sydney if she had a red mark or a birthmark. If Mrs. Madden had asked about it, there would be a problem. Fortunately, Sydney shook her head. "No."

Julien heaved a sigh of relief in silence. "Good to hear."

Upon hearing his words, Sydney looked at him curiously. "You sound relieved that she didn't ask me anything else. Are you hiding something from me?" "No." Julien put on a calm look and held her hand as he said calmly, "I'm just worried Mrs. Madden might ask you some hard questions and mock you."

"Don't worry. She didn't do that this time." Sydney shrugged. "And since she cared about me for some reason, I didn't argue back like I always did. It was the first time we got along peacefully. Honestly, it's not bad."

Sydney felt great about it.

Even if she didn't argue with Mrs. Madden, after all, she and Mrs. Madden were enemies. And usually it would be annoying for her to stay with Mrs. Madden in a confined space, but not this time. She didn't fee any animosity from Mrs. Madden, nor was there any tension in the air.

She just felt awkward, and she had mixed feelings about it. Overall, it was a nice experience, and she didn't feel uncomfortable.

Sydney was wondering why she could get along with Mrs. Madden that one time. When Julien saw her expression, he pursed his lips.

Sydney didn't know the reason, but he did.

It was because they were mother and daughter. They knew nothing about this, but they had a bonding. It was a magical thing.

Even if two brothers were separated from birth and had no idea they had a sibling, they'd still feel close to their brother if they saw each other one day.

That was how powerful bonds were. That was why Sydney could get along well with Mrs. Madden and didn't even argue with her.

However, he couldn't tell her that. He knew it was unfair to her, but it was for her own good.

Besides, he wasn't planning on hiding it from her forever. He would tell her who she really was after Brandon died.

Once Brandon passed away, the Maddens would fall. And Julien wouldn't have to worry about Sydney's breaking down because of her identity in the feud between the Maddens and the Raines.

"You spaced out again." Sydney noticed Julien spacing out again. Then she stared at him as she propped her head up and stared at him.

Upon hearing her words, Julien quickly snapped out of it. His eyes flickered.

Sydney was about to ask him what he was thinking about and why he spaced out twice when the divider rolled down.

Zach looked at them in the rear-view mirror. "We have arrived at Shallow Bay, Mr. Flint, Ms. Raines."

"That's fast." She forgot about her questions and rolled the window down. Then she saw Shallow Bay was right in front of her.

"I kept talking to you. And I didn't pay attention that we had arrived here." She rolled the window back up.

Julien chuckled. "That means I'm all you think about."

"You're such a narcissist." She rolled her eyes, but she didn't refute that.

Julien beamed.

Sydney noticed the look in his eyes, and she felt embarrassed. Then she turned away. "I'll get out now."

She said as she got out of the car right away.

Julien opened the door and got out, too. And then he told Zach, who had just got out of the car. "Take the luggage up."

Zach mumbled a response and then went to the trunk.

Sydney was confused. "What luggage?"

Julien didn't answer, so Zach did it for him. "It's Mr. Flint's clothes and necessities. He said you wouldn't move to his place so soon, so he opted to move to your place instead and asked me to pack his stuff."

Zach took two large suitcases out of the trunk. The luggage reached Sydney's waist. When she saw it, the corner of her lip twitched. "You really think of my place as your home, huh?"
