Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! -
Chapter 751 Sydney's Concern
Julien raised his eyebrows. Then he understood that Sydney was saying that the porridge was not bad. He hadn't expected Sydney to compliment him in such a subtle way. But he loved it. He loved her recognition and encouragement.
"If you like it, have some more. There's plenty more." Julien smiled. Then he pulled a chair and sat down next to Sydney.
The two begin to eat.
Suddenly, Julien put down his fork, turned to Sydney, and said, "Rest at home after the meal. I'm going to take care of a matter. I'll be back with you when it's done." "Okay." Sydney nodded, "It's okay if you don't come back. I have to go to work later anyway."
"You're going to work?" Julien glanced in the direction of the balcony. Then he quickly withdrew his eyes and looked at Sydney with a teasing expression. "Are you sure?" "Yes." Sydney nodded. Apparently, she didn't notice what time it was.
Julien held his hand against his temple. He looked at Sydney with a faint smile on his face and asked, "Do you know what time it is?"
Sydney was confused. She started to hesitate, "What... What time is it?"
'It can't be noon, can it?'
Julien took out his phone and showed it to her.
Sydney saw the time, and she was surprised. "It's four in the afternoon?"
It was 4 p.m. in Jackal City.
"I can't believe I slept for so long!" Sydney's mouth dropped open.
Julien retrieved his phone and nodded, "You were too tired last night, so you slept for so long."
"Oh my God!" Sydney covered her face in chagrin, "I was going to go to the factory to check on the renovation, but now..."
It was so late, and the workers should have left.
Sydney simply assumed that she hadn't slept long and that it was probably noon.
However...
"When did you get up?" Sydney stared at Julien and asked.
Julien took a sip of water and replied, "At noon."
"Why didn't you wake me up?" Sydney's voice rose.
Julien blinked innocently, "I wanted you to sleep a little longer. You were too tired last night. And even if I woke you up at noon, could you go to work then?"
Then Julien lowered his eyes and finally landed on a spot on her body.
Sydney immediately blushed. She pushed his face away. "What are you looking at?"
As Julien said, if he woke Sydney up at noon, there was no way she could go to work.
She couldn't even walk on her own now. How could she go to work?
If she showed up at the factory like this, people would definitely laugh at her.
"If I had known my legs would be like this today, last night, I..."
"Don't worry. You haven't missed any of your schedules." Julien cut her off.
Julien would not let her regret what they did last night.
"What do you mean? I didn't miss any of my schedules?" Sydney calmed down.
Julien nodded slightly, "In the morning, I had Zach inform the office that we both would take one day off today, so Sean must have arranged things. Since she didn't call you, I'm sure she took care of everything."
After hearing what Julien had done, Sydney lowered her eyes. She believed him.
But to make sure of it, she decided to give Sean a call.
Julien guessed what she was going to do, so he got up and brought her the phone.
Sydney wanted to ask Sean about her schedule for the day, but as soon as she turned on her phone, she saw the message Sean had sent her in the morning.
It was an adjusted schedule for Sydney.
The trip to the factory to check on the renovations had been rescheduled for tomorrow, and the workers had also been notified. Sydney breathed a sigh of relief.
Julien was sitting next to her, and he saw the message. He curled the corners of his lips and said, "See? Just like I said, Sean has rescheduled you. As a secretary, if she can't fix such a simple problem, she can go home."
Sydney ignored him. She put her phone down and continued eating.
After they finished eating, Julien offered to clear the table and wash the dishes.
In fact, he simply put the dishes in the dishwasher.
Sydney wanted to take a bath to freshen herself up.
Julien carried her to the bathroom. After running the water for her, he left the bathroom.
Sydney took off her robe and stood in front of the mirror. Looking at the purple marks all over her body, she bit her lower lip.
When she was in her room earlier, she saw a scarlet mark on her collarbone, and she guessed that there must be many more marks on her body.
It turned out that it really was. There were purple marks all over her body.
"Bastard!" Sydney cursed through clenched teeth with a blushed face.
Julien really was a bastard. He had been so rude to her last night.
Considering that he had carried her to the bath after making love, she forgave him.
Sydney exhaled softly at the thought, and then she grabbed the edge of the tub and slowly slid into it.
The water was warm and soaked her body. She felt so comfortable. She closed her eyes and showed a happy smile.
Julien sat on the couch in the living room, waiting for Sydney to finish her bath so he could carry her out.
While he was waiting for Sydney, he made a call and asked the security guard to go to the pharmacy to get some medicine.
Half an hour later, Sydney called out from the bathroom, "Julien, I'm ready."
She was probably relaxed from the bath, so her voice was soft and tempting. Julien immediately tensed up, and his eyes twinkled.
"I'm coming." Julien answered in a husky voice. Then he got up and walked towards the bathroom.
About ten minutes later, Julien came out with Sydney in his arms.
Sydney was wearing a thin nightgown and was snuggled in Julien's arms. Her cheeks were flushed. Her eyes were misty. Her lips were slightly parted. And she was breathing heavily.
And there was a satisfied smile at the corners of Julien's mouth.
They must have been very passionate in the bathroom during the ten minutes.
Julien put Sydney on the couch and prepared to blow dry her hair.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
Julien put the hair dryer down. "Wait a second. It should be the medicine I had the security guard buy. I'll go check."
"Medicine? What kind of medicine?" When Sydney heard Julien had the security guard get some medicine, she thought of the emergency contraceptive pill, and her heart sank.
Julien didn't wear a condom last night, and today he had someone buy the pill, so Sydney couldn't help but wonder, 'If it's the emergency contraceptive pill...'
Julien had no idea what was on Sydney's mind at the moment. He went to the door after blurting out, "You'll know soon enough." He headed for the door. Sydney got nervous. She was panicking inside.
By the time Julien returned with the medicine. He sensed something was wrong with her. "What's wrong?" Julien asked as he opened the paper bag and checked the medication inside. Sydney's eyes twinkled, and she shook her head, "I'm fine."
She didn't want to tell him, so Julien didn't insist. He handed her an ointment. "Here." Sydney took it and looked down at it. It was not a contraceptive pill but an ointment for bruises. Sydney blinked and looked up at Julien. "Is this the medicine you wanted?"
"Yes." Julien nodded, "You need it, and I also need it for my back, so I had someone get it." "Nothing else?" Sydney turned her eyes to the paper bag in front of Julien.
"Yes." Julien responded.
Sydney's heart tightened up again. Her face was pale. "What else?"
