Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 837 Sean Decided to Abort Her Baby

Sean had been trained for fighting, and she was sober. Certainly, she could push Luke away, who was drunk then.

Yes, she could. Not only could she push him away, but also she could throw him out. But she didn't.

Just because Luke knew Sean was capable of kicking him away when he found her in his bed, he immediately realized what she was up to, so he felt sick of her.

Sean had worked with Luke for years. He always trusted her and treated her as a friend. But she had taken advantage of him when he was drunk. How could he not be angry with her?

Therefore, Luke thought it was not his fault if he didn't take responsibility for her.

Sydney sighed, "No matter whose fault it was, the baby is innocent. Do you really want to abort the baby?"

"Yes." Sean nodded, "I've decided. My pregnancy was unintended. Luke won't accept the baby or like it. If I insist on giving birth to the baby, my baby won't have a father. If he asks me one day who his daddy is, how do I answer him? So I've thought about it. Since I can't give him a family or give him a loving daddy, I shouldn't bring him into the world. I can't have a baby because of my selfishness." Sydney wasn't surprised at what Sean had just said. She had thought the same thing.

When Sydney was pregnant, she didn't know it was Julien's baby. She thought it was a stranger's baby, so she wasn't going to have the baby due to the fear that it would be unfair to the baby.

"Since you've made up your mind, I won't interfere with your decision. But I was wondering if Luke knew you were pregnant." Sydney asked, "If Luke knows you're pregnant, you'd better talk to him before you have an abortion. But if Luke doesn't know about it, it's your decision."

Sean shook her head, "Mr. Chase doesn't know about it. I didn't tell anyone I was pregnant. I'm not going to tell Mr. Chase. If Mr. Chase knew I was pregnant, he would hate me more. He'd probably think I did not take the pill on purpose to get pregnant."

"Uh..." The corner of Sydney's mouth twitched. She had nothing to say as she thought Sean had a point.

Luke was currently so disgusted with Sean that whatever Sean did he would think it was Sean's ploy.

If Luke knew that Sean was pregnant, he would think that Sean had gotten pregnant on purpose to marry him.

"Even if Mr. Chase knew I was pregnant, he would have told me to abort the baby. Mr. Chase hates me. He won't let me have the baby, so getting an abortion is the best choice for me. Then we can put closure to what happened between us." Sean said.

She was holding a glass of milk in her hand. The milk was hot, but it could not warm her hands or her heart.

Sean felt that she was frozen to the core.

"Okay." Sydney nodded.

Sydney now understood that it was impossible between Luke and Sean.

After learning what had happened between Luke and Sean that night, she knew there was nothing she could do to bring the two together.

Luke believed that Sean was a cunning woman.

How could he possibly fall in love with Sean or be with her?

In that case, it was not fair to the baby if Sean brought it into the world.

Even if Sean gave birth to the baby, Luke would not marry her because of the baby.

He might take the baby away from her, and Sean wouldn't be able to stop him.

By then, Sean would be desperate.

'Why should I give myself such a hard time? Maybe getting an abortion is the best choice.'

"I'll go to the hospital with you when you go in for the abortion." Sydney gently patted the back of Sean's hand.

Sean felt warm inside and she nodded, "Thank you, Ms. Raines."

"It's OK." Sydney shook her head, "I'm responsible for the incident, too. I asked you to follow Luke that night. If I didn't, you and Luke wouldn't have gotten this far. Maybe you had a chance to be with Luke." Sean dropped her eyes and gave a faint smile, "Even though you told me to follow Mr. Chase, I knew what I was doing. I didn't stop it. It was my fault. Don't blame yourself."

"Take care of yourself. I'm here to support you." Sydney smiled.

The two stayed in the cafe for almost half an hour. Then they left.

Sean went back to her apartment and Sydney went to the office.

Before they parted, Sean asked Sydney not to tell anyone that she was pregnant, especially Luke.

Sydney agreed. Then Sean left with reassurance.

But Sydney knew it wasn't fair for Luke to keep it from him.

Luke was the baby's father after all, and he had a right to know about it.

But if Sydney told Luke about it, things would be even more complicated.

Luke would definitely accuse Sean.

Therefore, Sydney promised Sean to keep the secret.

Just as Sydney was lost in thought in her office, her office door opened.

Julien walked in with an exquisite lunch box.

Seeing Sydney lost in thought, Julien raised his eyebrows. He slowed his pace and quietly approached her.

Sydney did not come out of her thoughts until Julien placed the lunch box on her desk. She was startled by the sound of the lunch box hitting her desk and she looked at it.

She wondered when there was a lunch box on her desk. Then she looked up and saw Julien standing across the desk, looking at her with raised eyebrows. "What are you doing here?" Sydney asked. She got up quickly and walked up to Julien. "Aren't you supposed to be busy at the moment? What are you doing here?

Julien left the lunch box on the desk and smiled at Sydney, "I just took several directors who have been working abroad to the plant in Port City, and your company is right on my way back to the office and it's lunchtime, so I came to have lunch with you. After lunch, I'm taking them to the airport."

Those directors had worked for years in Flint Corporation's foreign branches. They were devoted to the company. It was a rare opportunity for them to come back to Mediana, so Julien wanted to see them off at the airport to show that he valued them.

Therefore, the directors would be dedicated to their jobs and run the subsidiary well.

Knowing that Julien had to work after lunch, Sydney sighed, "You must be very tired."

"I'm fine. This is not the busiest time of year. The end of the year, which is less than a month away, is the busiest time of every year. The company has to do the annual review, and I'll probably be living at the office then." Julien took Sydney's hand with one hand, took the lunch box with the other, and led her toward the couch.

Sydney averted her head at him and asked, "You'll be sleeping in the office?"

"Yes." Julien nodded, "The end of every year is the busiest. I'm telling you in advance. I can't spend a lot of time with you by then."

Julien paused and looked at Sydney with an apologetic look in his eyes.

Sydney smiled, "Don't look at me like that. I understand you'll be busy. Don't feel guilty."
