Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 853 The Dress and Suit Are Broken

Sydney saw the resolute and serious look on his face and subconsciously nodded. "I believe you."

Julien took her into his arms once again. "Don't worry about it, I won't let you down."

Sydney nodded again and wrapped her arms around his back.

Julien nuzzled her neck. "Did you call the police?"

"Yeah," Sydney turned serious and wrinkled her brows, "I did it right after the dress and suit were robbed. The police have gone to capture the criminal following the lead given by me. They promised to call me back once they finished their job. A few hours have passed, but there isn't any news."

She was a little disappointed.

Julien's eyes narrowed. "If it's an ordinary robber, the police should have captured him. It shows that he is in a gang, and the police are trying to lure the bigger fish. It won't be that easy. I'll help you take care o it."

"What are you going to..."

Her phone suddenly rang and interrupted her speech.

She frowned and went to the coffee table with Julien.

Her phone was on the table.

Sydney took a look before her eyes lit up. "It's the police calling."

A surprised smile appeared on her face. "It looks like they have caught the robber and gotten the dress and suit back."

Julien's brows were unknitted as he saw her happy face. "That's great. Pick it up."

Sydney nodded, picked up her phone, and answered it, "Hello?"

"Ms. Raines." The rough voice of a man came from the other end of the phone.

Sydney recognized his voice. It was the same officer who answered the phone when she reported the case.

She clutched her phone with both hands and hurriedly asked, "Did you catch the robber and get the dress and suit back?"

The man on the other end of the phone fell silent.

Sydney's heart lurched. She had a bad feeling. The smile on her face froze and faded away.

Julien saw her look and narrowed her eyes. "What's wrong?"

Sydney shook her head in confusion.

She then asked again, "Sir, may I ask if you've caught the robber and gotten the dress and suit back?"

The police officer finally responded with a sigh, "Ms. Raines, we're really sorry. The robber has been caught, but the dress and suit..."

Sydney bit her lip. "What do you mean? Are the dress and suit missing?"

'Did the robber sell them?' she wondered.

"The dress and suit are found, but the result is unexpected." The police officer looked at the dress and suit and helplessly shook his head, "Anyway, please get mentally prepared. You'll know when you come to the police station to close the case."

Sydney's heart sank, but she forced a smile and hummed, "Okay, I'll be right there."

The call ended, and he slowly put the phone away from her ear.

Julien looked at her and asked, "They didn't get the dress and suit back?"

"They did." Sydney frowned, "But something went wrong."

The evasive attitude of the police had made her believe that they hadn't found the dress and suit.

'What exactly went wrong?'

Julien bit her lip, unable to figure it out.

Julien stroked his chin and pondered, "Are the dress and suit broken?"

Sydney's eyes widened. "It may be the case."

According to the police officer, the dress and suit were found, but something went wrong.

What could go wrong with them? Broken or stained.

The police officer didn't make it clear. It should be either of the results.

Sydney's heart sank, and her brows were locked in a frown.

Julien rubbed her brows with his thumbs. "Don't frown like an old lady. If they are broken, we'll get new ones."

"Bah, you're an old lady," Sydney sulked, knocked off his hands, and bit her lips, "I'll go and confirm what happened. I promised the police I would be there. You can wait for me at home. I'll be right back." "I'm going with you." Julien grabbed her hand, "I'm your man. I can't let you go alone."

Sydney looked at their interlocked fingers and smiled, "Okay, let's go together."

Following that, her stomach suddenly rumbled.

Julien heard it and frowned. "You didn't have dinner?"

Sydney put her hand on her stomach and lightly nodded. "Yeah."

Julien's brows were knitted together. "Why did you skip it?"

"The dress and suit were gone, and the robber was on the loose. I was in no mood for dinner," she explained, looking up at him.

Julien's lips were pursed into a thin line. "You should have had something. It's bad for your stomach."

Sydney smiled, "It's not a big issue."

"No, you should grab something to eat before going to the police station. You can't starve yourself like this," Julien said, letting go of her hand. Sydney looked at him. "But it will take a while. I can't keep them waiting."

After a moment of silence, Julien came up with an idea and rubbed her hair. "You can eat in the car. Is there anything in the fridge?"

"There are pancakes, but I need to fry them first." Sydney thought for a moment and replied.

She knew that once he made his decision, it would be hard to change his mind.

If she refused to eat, he would probably stop her from going to the police station. So, she chose to reply honestly.

Glad to hear that, Julien nodded, "Just a moment, I'll go and fry them for you." With that, he took off his jacket. His perfect figure was packed in a black shirt. Then he tore off his tie, threw it on the sofa, and started to undo the cufflinks.

His movement was slow, elegant, and attractive.

Noticing Sydney's attentive gaze, Julien curled his lips and moved even more slowly.

He could have undone the cufflinks in one minute instead of three.

After that, he unhurriedly rolled off his sleeves before his robust arms were revealed.

It reminded Sydney of those crazy nights. It was this pair of arms that picked her up when she was exhausted.

She seemed to be able to feel how strong they were.

'What am I thinking?

'It's not the right time for that.

'Ugh, I have degenerated!'
