Chapter 488 A Gift From Kaven

In the small courtyard behind Quadrity, Kaven took the letter from Gerald and opened it.

While reading the letter, Kaven frowned and soon revealed an indescribable look on his face.

"What's wrong?" Gerald asked. "Of course. If it's inconvenient to say, you don't have to tell me."

Charles was the most mysterious man in Sin City. Gerald had always wondered why Charles had given him

this letter.

Charles was obviously able to communicate with the outside world through Davis, but he still chose to write a letter and asked Gerald to personally hand it to Kaven. This meant that there must be some secrets in this

letter.

Therefore, Gerald felt that it was inconvenient for Kaven to tell him.

But Kaven smiled and said, "Actually, there is nothing inconvenient to say, Charles said that he planned to go back. Obviously, he went back to Sin City. And you brought this letter to me. If I'm right, you should have gone

to Sin City!"

Gerald looked at Kaven in surprise. But then, he suddenly understood something.

Charles came from Sin City. When Charles was in his teens, his status in Sin City was quite high. He was Kaven's junior. Gerald thought that there was a deep relationship between Kaven and Sin City. Maybe Kaven knew more about Sin City than Gerald did.

Gerald nodded and said, "Yes. I went there to do something."

"Charles told me that the war might start, and those ordinary cities would also be involved. He told me that if I had no choice, I could bring the people close to me back to that city!" Kaven said. "Actually, they are almost. some useless words in this letter: Charles is mainly worried about me!"

Gerald looked at Kaven. It was obvious that Kaven did not tell the truth. If Kaven had told the truth, he

wouldn't have such a deep frown on his face.

Of course, this was a matter between Kaven and Charles. Since Kaven said so, it was obvious that he did not want to say more. Gerald naturally did not ask more.

Thus, Gerald nodded and said, "Alright. I have completed this mission. Then I will go eat something first!"

Kaven opened his mouth but hesitated. In the end, he did not say anything. He nodded and said, "Alright, then go eat something. When you leave, inform Hamish. I will ask Hamish to get something for you."

Gerald nodded.

Gerald returned to Quadrity. Under the guidance of the waiter, Gerald went to a private room on the sixth floor. Nova was also there!

After seeing Gerald, Nova looked at him with a half-smile and said, "No wonder you are Watchman No. 0. You are the first person I know who can come to the sixth floor in Quadrity. When my grandfather wanted to come to the sixth floor to eat, he was almost kicked out by Mr. Dominic."

Gerald shook his head and said, "There is something I didn't tell you. I am no longer a Watchman, nor am I

Watchman No. 0."

Nova was stunned. "What do you mean? Could it be that those rumors are true?"

"What rumors?" Gerald asked.

The thing of Gerald leaving the Night Watch should be the Night Watch's internal affair. For some reason, the Night Watch wouldn't publicize it. There was no problem in this aspect. No Watchmen would leak the news.

"Some rumors in the underground world. It's said that the Night Watch has issued a Blood Order to hunt you,"

Nova said.

Gerald frowned, but he did not think too much about it. If this thing was leaked out, it must have something

to do with Perrin.

Gerald had quite a lot of enemies in the underground world. It was normal for Perrin to reveal this news and use the people of the underground world to kill Gerald.

Of course, no one in the underground world dared to attack Gerald.

"Indeed, I have carried a Blood Order before. But it's gone now. I'm no longer a Watchman now because of some other miscellaneous things," Gerald said with a smile.

Nova nodded and said, "That's good. If you are a Watchman, you will have to protect a lot of people. But now, you can only protect me alone. Of course, you still have your family. If you want, I can marry into your family."

As Nova spoke, her face showed a trace of blush!

Gerald touched his nose and said, "Well. I have a cousin who is not bad! He doesn't have a lot of money, but

you are not a woman who is short of money. How about I introduce him to you?"

"Bah!" Nova spat.

At this time, the dishes had already begun to be served.

Gerald took a bite of the food and couldn't help but close his eyes slightly.

The food in Sin City was actually quite good. Valery's cooking was also quite outstanding. But compared to

the dishes made by Kaven, the food Gerald had tried in Sin City was much worse,

Gerald had not tasted such delicious food for a long time. His appetite was very good now.

Nova's eyes also widened slightly because of surprise and joy. The two of them ate and chatted.

Gerald asked, "By the way, is there any news about the other Dragon Bones?"

Nova nodded and said, "Yes. I have been sending my people to help you replace them. Don't worry. After replaceing them, we get them through the proper way."

After that, Nova asked, "How long are you going to stay in Washington this time?"

"About twenty days. Maybe shorter." Gerald shook his head. "I can't say for sure. Anyway, I will take you with

me when I leave. Don't worry. You have helped me a lot. I am not the kind of person who is irresponsible."

Gerald was going to improve himself in the following time.

Gerald planned to stay here and let Nova cooperate with him to replace more Dragon Bones!

Although the improvement was slow now, it was the fastest way that Gerald could think to improve himself. Nova smiled and nodded. "I trust you."

After a while of eating and chatting, Gerald called the waiter and asked him to inform Hamish that he was

about to leave.

After a while, Hamish ran up. He held a small box in his hand and said, "Mr. Dirden asked me to give this to you. He said that if you encounter danger in the future, press this button here, and it can save your life."

Gerald was stunned. He looked at the strange box and did not take Hamish's words seriously.

Although Kaven came from Sin City, he was obviously just an ordinary man. His life in this city was not so smooth. Before, because of commercial competition, Kaven's arm was almost broken by the McHale family.

In other words, Kaven was just an ordinary person!

However, Gerald still had to accept it out of politeness. He said to Hamish, "Please thank Kaven for me!"

Hamish nodded and said, "Then I will walk you out!"
