-When I married Alina, I was only the manager of my hotels. I was nobody to tell the truth, but I promised her that I would give her everything she asked for. That I would stop being just an employee; what can I say, I loved her. But she got pregnant with Talia and I was still nobody important, then Alma came along and by then, she was fed up.

Caleb looks down, he still can’t get over the words his ex-wife said. She was so cold and calculating, she had no feelings, that woman.

Olivia listens carefully to Caleb’s story, she was shocked, she never imagined that this man would start from scratch. She always thought he was born in a golden cradle. At the time he was just like her, just another employee.

-She told me she was leaving, that she could no longer bear to be the wife of a man who would give her nothing. I thought she was going to take my daughters with her, but she didn’t; Alina told me that she only got pregnant to motivate me to better myself, so that I would stop being a nobody.

I could hold out some hope that Caleb would fall in love with her, that is, if she didn’t get in the way of everything.
