Aria’s POV

Roma was many things but not gorgeous was not one of them and even then, his dark eyes made me feel like I was standing on hot coal, my body warring over being glad that he was here to being skeptical and worried about the fact that he was a gigantic demonic wolf when he turned.

Dressed in a three piece black suit with a black undershirt and his has packed in a low bun, he looked like a sin to the entire female populace and he knew it. The women couldn’t take their eyes off him.

The song changed and I took a deep breath as Scott left a k**s on the back of my hand and we exchanged partners and continued to waltz to the sound of the music.

My partner was one of the guests who had come visiting for the annual summit.

My eyes followed Roma everywhere he walked past as he greeted the guests and I didn’t know if he realized how adorable he was as he looked out of place in this gathering.

Like he didn’t realize why there were so many people here and actively speaking to him. Raphael was the one that moved with him and spoke where Roma was silent.

“You have such tiny waist. And you’re human. Tell me, how long have you been in this pack?” The boy that I danced with, who looked to be around the same age as Scott asked, pressing a finger on my lower back hard when I didn’t respond to get my attention and I swallowed nervously as I finally looked at him and saw what was in his eyes.

I knew that I was naive and clueless about a lot of things but I would receive the look of l**t anywhere especially because of the way this guy didn’t bother to be subtle about it.

“Not too long ago.” I answered, feigning a smile and gasped when I tried to release myself and his hold only seemed to get even tighter.

“Let me go.” I said and the stranger smirked, his grip becoming even tighter as he whispered in my ear.

“So, you’re telling me that a little slut like you does not like how I’m touching you? Come off it little human, just show me to a quiet place where the two of us will be alone and have fun.”

My face paled in horror at his words and his smirk widened as he pulled me even closer for us to continue dancing as if he had not made such a horrible suggestion.

I opened my mouth to answer when the face of the kid paled as he looked at someone that stood behind me.

It was Roma’s scent that gave him away first and he stopped and released me, stretching out his hand for a handshake.

“It’s such a pleasure to be able to see you one on one and…” His face paled in horror and he winced when Roma took his hand and I heard cracking of bones.

“Do not make a sound” Roma said and the boy quickly forced a smile onto his face even though I was sure that his broken bones were painful enough to cause him to actually scream.

When Roma finally released his hand, he grinned as if he had not just done something as shocking as breaking the fingers of one of his guests.

“Go away and replace something useful to do.” He added and the boy fled the dance floor.

My heart thumped in my chest as Roma took my hand in his and wrapped the second around my waist and I fought the urge that I had to shiver as goosebumps erupted over my skin where his hand connected with my bare back.

The butterflies in my stomach erupted and I swallowed nervously as we danced and I looked away from the crowd when my eyes connected with Carlos’s dark ones and saw that he was watching us closely.

“Why did you break his hand?”

“Would you have preferred it if I didn’t? Considering that he was totally uncouth and wanted to use those hands on you without your consent?” He asked me and when I realized that he was right, he gave me a disarming smile that made me look away.

“We need to talk about what happened, don’t we?” Roma whispered, his lips brushing the shell of my ear and I swallowed nervously, nodding my head as my n*****s rubbed against my dress and when he pulled back, his eyes darkened.

“I can scent your desire, Aria. Do you want to talk about that too?” I shook my head immediately and felt upset because it felt like Roma was toying with me. Because why would he have said that when there was nothing he could do about it or be with someone like me?

“Scian says that I should wait until you’re ready and I’ll do just that, so get all your questions that you would like me to answer ready and tell me when you are ready. I won’t rush you.” His hand caressed my back gently and I swallowed again as the steady rush of something that I had only felt with him hit my lower belly and made me want to squeeze my thighs together.

Just then, the dance ended and he placed a soft k**s on the corner of my mouth before the bright lights were turned on, leaving me flustered and hot all over.

Walking with unsteady legs towards where Sophia was standing, she took one look at me and raised her eyebrows in question.

“You look flushed, Aria. What is it? Ovulating yet? And ready to pick one of these males to help you with your little problem?” She whispered the last parts and I rolled my eyes when she laughed.

The ball ended quite early because of the actual Summit, the meeting where the wolves would argue and agree on many issues affecting the supernatural and how to handle them.

My face fell as I left the ball room and headed to my room because I had wanted to see if this was the right time to ask Roma all of the questions that I wanted answers to.

By the time I showered and lay on my bed, I felt restless and it had everything to do with what Roma had said as his lips brushed my ear.

I felt my n*****s strain against my breasts which felt heavy and as I laid back on the bed, I decided to do what Sophia had encouraged.

Closing my eyes, I led my hands down until they were touching my clit and I flinched at the sensation that made my legs shake as I wondered what it would be like If Roma was indeed the one that was going to be my first. I gasped at the feeling and when the door to my room opened, I rushed to stay orderly but it was too late. Roma walked into the bedroom and his eyes widened in surprise.
