Chapter 1006 Turning On Each Other

"Forgive you both? Have you forgotten what you did to me a while ago? I merely wanted to buy a house here, but not only did I fail to receive the hospitality that should've been shown to me, but I even had to put up with your insults, I think Mr. Sewell is right. People like you don't deserve to have a job at all!" Alex uttered placidly.

Since begging for mercy was no longer doing him any good, Zion regretted the entire matter to the core.

It was this b*tch who dragged me down that I ended up in such straits now! If she hadn't sought me out, this matter likely wouldn't have had anything to do with me! I could've remained in the company, doing nothing while enjoying my high pay!

"It was all because of you that I ended up in this predicament, b*tch!" Snapping, he clutched at Kiara's shoulder and slapped her across the face.

Still not satisfied, he slapped her several more times, only stopping when his palm stung.

"Why are you taking your anger out on me, Zion, you heartless b*stard? Are you even a man? Hit him if you dare!" Kiara bellowed at the man, pointing at Alex while cradling her red and swollen face. Towering rage blazed within her then, and she had no avenue to vent it. Having been beaten up by Zion, she decided to take it out on him since she could not do so with Alex.

She lifted her hand and swiped her nails at the man's face. In a flash, three scratch marks manifested on Zion's face.

Still dissatisfied, she grabbed his hair like a shrew, yanking hard as she cursed, "You're a downright heartless b❞stard! When you were with me in bed, you promised to protect me henceforth! But now that there's trouble, you shift all the blame on me! Where's the might you showed when you bedded me? Are you a man? I'm going to beat you to death today, you callous b❞stard!"

The chaotic scene of them turning on each other rendered everyone speechless.

Charles propped a hand against his forehead in exasperation. Good Lord! How did my company end up employing these two idiots?

Humiliated beyond words right then, he truly could not stand watching the spectacle anymore and shouted at the entrance, "Security! Security! Drag these two people out!"

It was only when the couple heard that they were going to be kicked out that they stopped fighting. They again dropped to their knees before Alex and pleaded for mercy incessantly.

Alex remained unfazed as he sat there, having no intention of letting them off the book until security guards came and dragged them out of the sales gallery.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Jefferson! Indeed, the situation this time stemmed from my failure to manage my subordinates well. How about I gift you another villa?" Charles suggested tentatively.

If he were to really offend the chairman of Four Seas Corporation this time, the consequences would be dire. Although he was a big shot in the real estate industry, he was nothing before Alex. A single word from the latter could easily have him going bankrupt.

Waving a dismissive hand, Alex declined, "Forget about a villa. As for Yannie here..."

He paused briefly while speaking of that, plunging into a silent contemplation for a moment.

"Yannie? If you don't like her, Mr. Jefferson, why don't I blacklist her as well?" Charles hurriedly proposed, mistakenly assuming that Yannie had also offended the man.

Yannic, who was wholly stunned after watching everything unfold at the side, was scared out of her wits when she heard that she might get blacklisted too.

I didn't offend Mr. Jefferson! What has this matter got to do with me?

Unfortunately, Charles' words were tantamount to a royal decree there. Without even thinking about it, she fell to her knees and pleaded tearfully. "I swear I'll take responsibility for whatever I did wrong. Mr. Sewell. Please don't blacklist me!"
