Chapter 1020 I Was Wrong

Stanley saw several children around his age or older squatting in a corner of the courtyard, looking at him curiously.

Stanley grew uneasy when he noticed they were staring at him. He knew that something was amiss. When he took a close look at the other children, he realized what the problem was.

There were about ten children in front of him. They were wearing tattered clothes and appeared disheveled like beggars on the streets.

Some had lost their arms, some had lost a leg, and some were blind in one eye.

The more Stanley looked, the more frightened he was. He had thought Kate was trying to scare him with her words to stop him from complaining to his father.

He finally understood that Kate was not joking when he witnessed the scene before him. She really intended to teach him a lesson

Stanley was so scared that his legs turned to jelly. He finally understood why those people in the alleyways had looked at him with such indifference when he arrived. They had already become accustomed to

it.

I have to run!

Stanley's heart was seized by fear. Right now, his sole thought was to escape this terrifying place.

As Stanley turned around, the iron gate slammed shut with a loud bang. Butch had locked it with an iron padlock.

"Where do you think you're going? Do you really think you can escape after coming to this place?" Butch gave Stanley a kick for his disobedience.

As he was just a six-year-old child, he was sent flying by that kick

Kate merely watched with a cold and indifferent expression. She had brought Stanley here today to make him understand the consequences of disobeying her.

Butch went forward to pick Stanley up. He looked at Kate courteously and asked, "Ms. Sutton, how would

you

like to deal with this disobedient child? Do you want me to gouge one of his eyes, chop off one of his arms or both, or break his legs?"

In his daze, Stanley heard those words. Scared out of his wits, he began to struggle to free himself from Butch's grip but to no avail. He gave Kate a pleading look. "Ms. Sutton, I was wrong. Please don't break my arms and legs. I don't want to become a beggar. I really know my mistakes now."

Seeing this, Kate nodded in satisfaction and shot Butch a look. Only then did Butch toss Stanley to the ground.

Stanley's face was pale with fear as he trembled incessantly. He was afraid that something might happen to him if he made a mistake.

"I can spare you, but do you dare to complain about me to your daddy when you get home? I'll take you back here if I hear you say anything bad about me," Kate warned sternly.

Stanley was scared senseless, and he could only nod continuously.

"Ms. Sutton, I won't say anything. I won't complain to my daddy. Please let me go," Stanley stammered.

Kate was quite satisfied with Stanley's change in attitude. She thanked Butch and took Stanley back to the

Stanley no longer struggled like before after experiencing all those things. He did not make a single sound as he sat in the back of the car as if he had lost his soul.

Kate's lips curled up in satisfaction. The outcomes were excellent this time. This journey wasn't in vain because I have successfully taught this brat to submit to me.
