Chapter 1201 Teaching Stanley A Lesson
This statement hit Alex like a thunderbolt, leaving him stunned and motionless for a long time. It wasn't until Flynn's voice came through the phone again that he was pulled back to reality. "Alex, I'm really sorry! Please don't worry, Stanley and I will be back soon. When we return, I'll apologize to you properly, okay?" Flynn said, feeling guilty.
"Bring Stanley back first. I'm itching for a fight. You can spar with me later," Alex said, abruptly ending the
call.
On the other side, Flynn, who was still driving, broke out in a cold sweat from fright. He had witnessed Alex's fists before!
That punch not only produced a golden shadow, but it could also directly break a large tree. Although Flynn felt that he had some skills in fighting, his body was definitely not as tough as that tree!
By the time he wanted to explain something further, the call had already been disconnected by Alex. "Little guy, you've really put me in a bind. When your dad decides to give me a beating, you'll have to hold him back. Otherwise, you might never see me again," Flynn said to Stanley in the back seat,
"Don't worry, Godpa! When my dad tries to hit you, I'll definitely try to stop him a bit. Whether I can actually stop him. I can't guarantee." Stanley helplessly shrugged.
"You're such a pain in the neck, you little brat! I'm really at my wit's end with you. It's so frustrating!" Flynn grumbled a bit, then focused back on his driving.
Flynn's phone call confirmed that Stanley hadn't encountered any danger and that Flynn had secretly taken Stanley away. This news put everyone's worried minds at ease.
Upon learning that Stanley was unharmed, Zachary, who had been pacing back and forth, finally let out a long sigh of relief and sat down on the couch.
With a hint of complaint, Zachary said, "This child, how could he go out to play without telling me? Even though I'm pushing him to practice martial arts, it doesn't mean I won't let him go out and have fun! When this little guy comes back, I'll definitely have to teach him a lesson. Alex, when I'm disciplining your son, you can't stop me!”
Stanley didn't get lost after all, and Alex's mood improved. He laughed and said, "This kid really needs at bit of discipline. Don't worry, I won't stop you when you're teaching Stanley a lesson."
Speak of the devil. At this very moment, the front door of the Jefferson residence swung open. The ones who entered were none other than Flynn and Stanley. Flynn-who was holding Stanley's hand in one hand and a large cake in the other hand-instinctively shrank his neck when he saw Alex coming out of the house. Looking at the large cake in Flynn's hand, Alex was taken aback. It isn't Stanley's birthday today, nor is it mine. Why did Flynn prepare a cake?
"What's the deal with this cake? Are you celebrating your birthday today or something?" Alex asked curiously.
Upon hearing Alex's question, Flynn and Stanley looked at each other and chuckled, saying. "Hehe, of course, it's not my birthday. You'll have to ask your son about that."
At this moment, Zachary walked out with a stern face. When he saw Stanley return safely, a glimmer of joy flashed in his eyes. However, it was fleeting and replaced by an even more strict gaze. "Stanley, how have I taught you normally? Even if you're afraid of hardship and don't want to practice martial arts, you should at least tell me. Running off like this, do you know how worried everyone is? Come here, extend your hand," Zachary sternly reprimanded Stanley.
Stanley, not daring to defy Zachary's words, timidly walked over and hesitantly stretched out both hands.
Zachary glanced at Stanley, then took the wooden paddle in his hand and struck the latter's hand ten times. Throughout the process, Stanley endured the pain without crying out or shedding a tear, only persisting stubbornly.
His small hand was slapped until it turned bright red, leaving several swollen marks. Even after the slapping had stopped, he didn't pull his hand back because Zachary hadn't spoken yet.
"Do you realize your mistake? Will you dare to sneak out alone again without a word, causing everyone to worry?" Zachary asked sternly.
Although Zachary felt some regret after the scolding, as an elder, he had a responsibility to teach Stanley what should and shouldn't be done!
"I won't admit to a mistake. I did nothing wrong," Stanley said stubbornly, holding back the tears that were about to fall.
Stanley, usually so sensible, was exceptionally disobedient today. This undoubtedly infuriated Zachary, who clenched the wooden paddle in his hand and struck Stanley's hand twice more. Watching from the side, Kate couldn't help but sneer inwardly. Seeing Stanley getting beaten up filled her with such joy. She wished Zachary would bear Stanley's hands to uselessness. "Do you realize your mistake?" Zachary questioned Stanley once again.
"I did nothing wrong. Given another chance, I would still sneak out." Stanley remained exceptionally stubborn.
Zachary never expected that Stanley, despite being clearly in the wrong, showed no signs of remorse. It must be because I granted him too much privilege back then. Today, I must teach him a good lesson.
Holding the wooden paddle in his hand, Zachary was ready to hit Stanley's little hand again. Flynn quickly walked over and grabbed the wooden paddle. "Mr. Zachary, it's not as you imagine. Stanley is a very sensible child."
