Chapter 450 Nurturing Carlene Bolton

Alex asked Jessica to get the directors to head to the filming site. They were to bring Carlene there as well.

Jessica was shocked when she saw Carlene because the woman was indeed gorgeous in a very pure way.

However, a tinge of resentment surged in Jessica's heart when she saw how Carlene stared at Alex with affection and admiration.

A lady's sixth sense told her that Carlene fancied Alex passionately.

"Miss, are you Mr. Jefferson's secretary?" Carlene initiated the conversation in the car.

"Yeah." Jessica nodded.

"Huh? Isn't Mr. Jefferson just a department manager? Why does he have a secretary? Your company must really value him a lot, huh?" Carlene exclaimed in surprise.

Managers don't usually have secretaries, yet Alex has such a pretty one here. It's a testament to how much Four Seas Corporation values him.

Upon that realization, Carlene became a little excited. The higher Alex's position in the Four Seas Corporation. is, the more authority he has. Probably no one would try to stir up trouble with me because Alex was the one who sent me, right?

"Department manager?" Jessica chuckled. Mr. Jefferson, are you about to play with a lady's feelings again?

"Is he not one?" Carlene started at Jessica in puzzlement.

"Did he say which department he is in?" Jessica asked.

"The Project Management Department," Carlene answered.

"I see. Yeah, he's the manager there," Jessica chuckled.

Carlene suddenly sensed something amiss with how Jessica said that one sentence, but she couldn't figure out what was wrong.

In no time, they arrived at the filming site where the directors were already waiting.

We should take this very seriously since the chairman's secretary herself brought someone to us.

"Ms. Saffin." The directors' name was Jansen Hort, and he was a man in his fifties. He had been involved in the filming of variety shows all his life, so he was somewhat famous in the industry. "Mr. Hort." Jessica shook Jansen's hands before introducing Carlene to him.

At that moment, the directors began sizing up Carlene.

Admittedly, the woman was dressed rather casually today - she wasn't wearing any makeup. At first glance, she wasn't as eye-catching as the smartly dressed Jessica.

However, their eyes sparkled upon closer inspection because Carlene had the looks and the body of a

superstar.

"Mr. Hort, please come here for a second." Jessica stepped aside, and Jansen soon followed her.

She whispered to him, "Mr. Jefferson himself sent her because he wants to make her the lead actress in Galaxy Girls. If you approve of her abilities, you can start training her."

Jansen gaped in shock, but he soon came to a realization after he took a look at Carlene.

She is Mr. Jefferson's lady, so we must try our best to make her seem talented even if she isn't!

"I understand, Ms. Saffin. If she's not too stupid or senseless, I can guarantee that she will be a superstar after Galaxy Girls airs, judging by how abundant the resources of Four Seas Corporation are." Jessica chuckled. "Please don't get me wrong, Mr. Jefferson just thinks she's very talented. Besides, he even said that you can just make her a side character if she's not a good fit for the program. Just don't offer her any acting roles."

Jansen nodded in acknowledgment, even though he was scoffing on the inside. Isn't this what Alex always says? If I really made her a side character, I can guarantee that I will be the next one fired from Four Seas Corporation.

Jessica didn't know what Jansen was thinking about because she was simply in charge of relaying Alex's message. Whatever Jansen wants to do is entirely up to him.

After that, she waved goodbye to Carlene before driving back to the company

alone.

On the other hand, Jansen brought Carlene to the set because he wanted to test her abilities.

He wanted to figure out Carlene's weaknesses and strengths. Once he did so, he could direct the show in a way to hide her flaws and flaunt her strengths. That would make her seem more appealing to the audience.

If Carlene could read Jansen's mind right now, she would probably faint from excitement because Jansen had already recognized her as the next superstar.
