Chapter 457 The Thoughts Of Lexa

Alex's life was perfectly scheduled.

The next day, he sent his son to school the first thing in the morning before attending Sakura Club.

He still had to wait for Evans and the others to approve before he could start working on the tech dome, so there was no rush with that.

Flynn said he'd pretty much found all the herbs that Alex asked for, which was why Alex decided to start brewing some pill today.

While he was in the car, though, he dialed Jack's number to ask about how Galaxy Girls' recording was going. Mostly, he wanted to get an update on Carlene's performance. From Jack's excited tone, he figured that Carlene hadn't let him down.

When he reached Sakura Club, Alex was about to call Flynn and ask him to help portion the herbs. To his surprise, the man was already there.

He was mildly surprised to see Lexa there as well.

At first, Alex had gotten rid of her martial skills because Lexa had been a part of the Mountain of the Beasts. He had also stopped her from killing Damian.

Back at Happy Living, Alex offered a Pill of Vitality in exchange for Lexa's Light Moves. However, she had turned him down because she said she didn't trust him.

If she came today, that meant that Flynn had managed to convince her.

Lexa seemed a bit ill at ease at the sight of Alex.

Flynn explained, "She was willing to exchange Light Moves for the Pill of Vitality, so I brought her here."

"Okay."

Alex nodded before looking Lexa up and down.

After losing her martial skills, or rather, after experiencing true human struggles, the sharpness in Lexa's face had dulled down considerably. She no longer seemed as cold and regal as before.

To put it another way, she had already lost her confidence.

When Lexa finally realized that Alex had no intention of mocking her, she sighed softly in relief.

After she had coldly turned him down last time, she had expected for him to hold that grudge against her.

Flynn had bought quite a lot of different herbs. Alex picked out the herbs he'd need first before picking up the main ingredient, the wild thousand-year ginseng, and prepared to start brewing the pill. He made Lexa and Flynn sort the rest of the herbs while he did so.

Right then, his phone rang. It was a phone call from Autumn.

"Mr. Jefferson, are you home right now?" Autumn asked, her sweet voice practically dripping honey through the phone.

Alex was surprised, but he didn't think much of it. "I'm at the Sakura Club. Are you sending herbs over?" He recalled asking Stefan to bring him some top-tier herbs yesterday. "Yes, my dad asked me to bring you some herbs. If you're free right now, I'll send them over," Autumn said.

"Come over then. I'm at Sakura Club. I'll get someone to pick you up at the gate," Alex replied.

"Okay, Mr. Jefferson. I'll be heading over right now," Autumn stated before hanging up.

After hanging up, Alex told Flynn, "Later on, Stefan's daughter is going to drop some herbs off. Send someone to pick her up at the gate."

Flynn made an 'OK' gesture and put down the herbs he was holding before walking out to do what Alex had asked.

Alex sat to one side, starting to put the herbs together.

Lexa was still sorting out the herbs and watched as Alex did his work. When she saw how serious Alex was while doing his job, the anger she held toward him got extinguished slightly.

If Alex really managed to brew the Pill of Vitality that could help her repair the Energy Field, she would be extremely grateful.

After being a waitress at Happy Living for so long and meeting all kinds of different people, she realized how rare it was to replace someone like Alex.

At least Alex and Flynn still defended her when she was being bullied despite their past Everyone else had just watched coldly from the sidelines.
