The doctor in charge glanced at Tyrael gratefully and told Heather, "Alright then, let me examine the patient."

He examined Lucas with the aid of two nurses and some medical apparatus. Lucas had restored all bodily functions, and all his vitals were in the healthy range. His heart welled up with respect for Tyrael and the doctor he was talking about.

"The patient is fine now and can be discharged today. However, I'd recommend that he rest and recuperate for a few days," the doctor in charge concluded after the examination,

"Alright, thank you, doctor!" Heather nodded her thanks and heaved a sigh of relief.

"You should be thanking Dr. Skyworth instead." The doctor in charge smiled and left with the two nurses in tow.

By the time everyone else left, Lucas was already jumping around outside the bed. He did not look like at man paralyzed after a traffic accident at all.

Heather and Carmen beamed.

Demi was overjoyed as well. She patted Lucas on the shoulder and said, "I'm glad you're fine now, Lucas. The twenty-two million I spent was well worth it."

Only then did everyone recall that Demi was the one who hired Dr. Skyworth for twenty-two million. Their impression of Demi improved by a lot.

"Thank you so much, Granny, I'll do whatever you say from now on!" Lucas proclaimed.

Demi was pleased to hear this and nodded. "Alright, alright. When Granny takes the company back, I will be sure to treat you all well."

She then reminded Heather, "Heather, remember what I asked you to do."

Heather nodded as well. "Don't worry, Granny. I'll beg the chairman if I have to."

Demi replied cheerfully, "All of you are my precious grandchildren. Take good care of Lucas. Granny will go back and take a rest. I'm getting old, so my body is getting weak as well." "Alright, bye Granny. Take care," Lucas bade her farewell.

"Alright then, I'll be off," Demi said as she slowly turned around to leave. Jacob hurriedly rushed to support her like a filial grandchild.

As she watched the two of them leave, Heather felt a strange sense of distance between herself and the two of them.

When she thought of Alex, she had many things to grumble about.

"Heather, just ignore this incident. Make sure he doesn't divorce you. The moment he decides to vic for the Jefferson inheritance, divorce him! I'd like to see the look on his face when we take ten billion worth o inheritance from him!" Carmen smirked.

"Alright, that's enough. Let's settle Lucas' discharge for now." Heather nodded. Although she had not said. anything negative about Alex, she was utterly disappointed.
