Chapter 625 Begging Heather Again

"After what you did to Heather and her family, she must loathe us! Why would she even consider helping us?" asked Brian while shaking his head.

"Don't worry yourself. I know exactly what kind of person Heather is. All I have to do is apologize to her personally, and she will undoubtedly forgive me," responded Demi solemnly.

At the sound of that, Brian was immediately filled with hope. There's definitely a chance that Heather will decide to aid us if mom talks to her. As long as she's willing to plead with the chairman of Four Seas Corporation for us, we'll make it worth her while.

"All right then. I'll tell them that you've fallen severely ill and ask them to visit you at the hospital," suggested Brian.

In response to that, Demi shook her head. "No, that won't do. I have to go to them myself. Only by doing that can I show them how sincere I am."

"But what about your condition?" inquired Brian concernedly.

"I'm fine. Besides, this is the only way I'll be able to move Heather."

Brian's wife held his arm, gesturing for him to let Demi proceed with the plan. "That's just how Heather is. They'll never come even if you tell them how sick mom is. Mom has to go to them. Only then will we ge a shot,"

After some thought. Brian eventually nodded in agreement. "Fine. Then I'll send you to Heather's right

now."

Meanwhile, Heather was busy with her live stream as usual.

Since her income from the business had diminished by a lot, she had to do more streams in a day to make up for the decrease.

Suddenly, Carmen opened the door to Heather's room and informed her daughter of Demi's visit, so the young woman had no choice but to end her live stream and greet Demi.

"Still working on your live streams, Heather?" Sitting on the couch, Demi greeted Heather with a big smile when her granddaughter walked into the living room.

"Yep." Unsure why Demi wanted to see her, Heather decided to shrug her grandmother off.

The elderly then sighed before continuing. "I realized that I didn't think things through when I kicked you out of our family, and I know I was wrong. When I heard how you had to rely on doing live streams to make a living, my heart ached for you, Heather. I've thought about asking you to come back to the company, but I was worried that you might call me a drama queen. But in all honesty, I really do miss you, Heather. Please, won't you come back to work with us? As part of Jenningses, you deserve so much more."

Heather was stunned by Demi's request, for she never expected that her grandmother would want her to return to Jennings Corporation.

Brian tried his best to keep a straight face while Demi sighed before explaining. "You're right. Our company did run into some trouble, but that's not the only reason why I wanted you back. I really do miss you, Heather. No matter what, you'll always be my granddaughter. That's a fact. I know I've made some rash decisions, but you don't really believe that I've given up on you for good, do you? I'm even ready to offer Lucas a much better position in the company. It's time he takes up more responsibilities."

Although at one point, Heather thought that she could not possibly hate Demi more, she was nonetheless touched by her grandmother's words then.

When she heard the elderly woman's seemingly sincere apology, she was moved.

Since her income from the live streams had diminished, Heather had one reason more to return to Jennings Corporation.
