Chapter 784 It Is Over

Before long, Nicholas received a call from Harrison, the person he appointed to take charge of Leighton Pharmaceutical whenever he wasn't around. He picked up the call without a second thought. "Sir, something's happened at the company! The authorities suddenly showed up for a series of inspections and found that the company's the one behind the inferior products!"

Explaining everything in an agitated voice, Harrison told Nicholas that it was over for both the Leighton family and Leighton Pharmaceutical.

Apart from that, now that the Leighton family's shady deeds were exposed, it was only a matter of time before they were all thrown behind bars.

As the mastermind of the shady trades, Nicholas was certain that it would be the end for him if he were to be thrown behind bars in his mid-sixties.

Because Nicholas had switched his phone to speaker mode when he answered the call, those in the hall heard of the bad news and had their eyes widened in disbelief.

He couldn't believe another crisis had befallen the family shortly after he resolved the crisis David brought upon them. I-Is it truly over for Leighton Pharmaceutical? A-Am I going to spend the rest of my life behind bars?

Just then, Callum shook off the people that were supporting him and made his way to his father before interrupting his father's train of thought with a question.

"Dad, what are we supposed to do when the cops are here? I don't want to spend my life behind bars! Can't you do something about it?"

Nicholas was enraged because his son's ignorance was one of the many reasons they had ended up in such

a mess.

Pointing at his son, Nicholas was so angry to the point that he couldn't replace the right word to berate him with.

Callum grasped Nicholas' hand and suggested, "Dad, why don't we try running away since the cops aren't here yet? Once we flee abroad, they won't be able to do anything to us!"

Nicholas was just about to reprimand him for being a coward, but he soon figured out that that might be the sole option available for them.

Hence, the father and son duo left everything behind and staggered their way out of the mansion with each other's support.
