Chapter 848 Absolutely Impossible

Only after seeing the person who questioned Antoine being knocked off the platform did everyone realize someone below the stage had caught the young man. That was an unexpected turn of events.

Maggie was stunned when she saw it was Alex who caught the young man. I didn't even notice when he had gone to save that person. Luckily, that young man is unharmed.

Stannis and Daphne were also surprised, but they didn't care because their attention wasn't focused on Alex. They merely assumed Alex had guessed that the young man would fall, so he had gone over in advance.

Stanley, on the other hand, exclaimed in excitement, "Daddy is amazing! He's a hero!"

Alex had indeed saved a man's life. The crowd showered him with compliments for his righteous intervention.

That young man, who had fallen from the stage, had thought his death was inevitable. Even in his wildest dream, he didn't imagine someone would catch him from below.

After making sure the young man was all right. Alex left Stanley in Maggie's care before heading straight toward the stage.

"Are you planning to challenge Master Antoine? Didn't you see how that young man was knocked off the stage by Master Antoine moments ago? Aren't you just courting death going up now?" Stannis tried to dissuade Alex out of goodwill.

However, Daphne tugged on Stannis' arm and chided. "Why are you meddling in his business? If he wants to die, just let him be. Why do you care?"

Alex grinned at Stannis and said, "Don't worry. I'll be fine."

Daphne pouted in disdain and uttered contemptuously, "Just keep pretending! I can't believe you're still recklessly going up the stage to challenge Master Antoine. When you get knocked off the stage later, you may not be as lucky to be caught by others. Perhaps you'll fall straight to your death!"

Absolutely Impossible

"My daddy won't die. Don't talk about my daddy like that, you ugly woman," Stanley said huffily.

Even Maggie's expression turned cold after she heard Daphne's speech. "If you dare to talk nonsense again, don't blame me for tearing your mouth apart!"

Infuriated, Daphne grabbed Stannis' arm and snapped, "They're all bullying me. I'm your girlfriend. Aren't you supposed to stand up for me?"

Stannis sighed in resignation and ignored Daphne. She's beyond help. She won't listen to me no matter what I say, so I might as well keep quiet. I wonder if he can defeat Master Antoine, judging by how confident he seems,

Realizing what he was thinking, Stannis let out a self-deprecating laugh. I must've indeed lost my mind because of how much Daphne exasperates me. How can he possibly defeat Master Antoine who possesses divine powers? The outcome of this fight is clear at a glance, so why bother dwelling on it? Let's hope he can at least survive this challenge.
