Chapter 877 Foolish

Alex furrowed his brows tightly as the din grew louder. All he wanted was to get some sleep, but with the racket going on, he could not fall asleep peacefully.

No sooner had he woken up than an overwhelming pain engulfed him. It seemed as though every corner. cell, and blood vessel in his body was in agony.

The sensation felt no different than if he was in the throes of death. He checked every inch of his body, but there were no serious injuries.

Although the upgraded version of the Pill of Vitality he took had healed the injuries he sustained during his fight with Fonzo, he still had to endure the aches and pains for some time.

He got to his feet and did a few stretches. Nothing felt strange, and the pain that had struck him after he woke up was slowly starting to fade.

To Alex's surprise, he also noticed that his Mortal Force had increased slightly. Even his body felt stronger than before.

It was clear that the improvements had something to do with his battle with Fonzo and the upgraded Pill of Vitality, and he could not help feeling ecstatic. Although the change is minimal, it's still pretty good progress.

-Feeling invigorated, he was about to open the door and see why it was so noisy outside when he caught sight of his bare arm and realized he was completely naked. Hence, he pulled on a pair of underwear, hurried to the bedroom's adjoining bathroom to wash his face, then put on some clothes before opening. the door and walking out.

Outside the room, Daphne, Stannis, and Maggie were arguing loudly.

"Stannis, are you even a man? Your girlfriend was bullied so badly, yet you don't dare to do anything!" Daphne shouted angrily.

It had been too late to do anything the previous night, so she had deliberately dragged Stannis over first thing in the morning to settle the score with Maggie.

Stannis had always respected Alex and wanted to befriend the latter. Unfortunately, Daphne's habit of repeatedly stirring up trouble meant he had no choice but to give up on that hope. Nonetheless, even if we can't be friends, I've no wish to offend Alex's girlfriend and get on his bad side. Also, Daphne's incessant shouting is giving me a headache.

Annoyed by Daphne's attempt to shift the blame to others, Maggie responded in a clipped tone, "Don't test my patience, Daphne. I want to settle yesterday's score too."

Just then, Daphne noticed that Alex had come out of his room. In a voice dripping with disdain, she said, "What perfect timing. That penniless boyfriend of yours is also here now. Kneel in front of me immediately, both of you. If you beg me, I may even consider forgiving you. Otherwise, the two of you and that little b*stard of his can go to hell!"

Alex's lips curved into a smile when he heard that. I never thought someone as smart as Stannis would have such a foolish girlfriend.

Recalling how Daphne had mistreated Maggie the previous day, he had no intention of letting the former off so easily. Hence, he said coldly, "I don't know who you are, but you'll soon learn we're not someone you can afford to offend."

Immediately after saying that, he walked over to the hotel's phone, lifted the receiver, and dialed a number.

How foolish of her. Just because of her slight social status, does she think she can do whatever she wants? If that's the case, it's time for me to get down to business. I must stamp out her pride and show her that what she has means nothing to me.
